Is it possible to get CVAcars not to check for the park brake ?
The FBW has broken the LVAR for the park brake, and CVACARS
doesn't recognize its off so can't start a flight in CVACARS
So far this is just the FBW320.

I had the same problem, so I revert back to the old version 0.6.3. I download the file and copy and past into the FBW folder. The FBW installer say version 7.0 but this is not true because I get the old version of fly pad. But at least the Acars works. Should you find a solution please share.

Hi Cal,

I'd have to see if we could even get a newer version of the CVAcars software. We paid for this custom version years ago and not sure what is current out there that interfaces with the system. As Frank has provided a workaround hopefully that will help in the short term.

Cheers! :mrgreen:

I have searched and found a way to use FSAcars with A320FBW. This is done by adding an offset Lua to FSUIPC. I have tried it and works perfectly. These are the steps to make this work.

1. Get Lua file from the sim flight network forum here. https://forum.simflight.com/topic/92667 ... ing-brake/ (you will need to register for the forums to be allowed to download)
2. Install Lua (A320ParkBrake) into your FSUIPC folder.
3. Edit your FSUIPC.ini file to add these lines.

[Auto]
1=Lua A320ParkBrake

If you are using profiles then use [Auto.XXXX] where XXXX is the name of your profile.

Did a flight today with the PMDG 737-700.
To get around the park brake problem I waited until after pushpack to start recording the flight.
Seemed to work fine. You do miss time during startup and programming the FMC but, some real world pilots don't start their clocks until they hvave reached hold short of the runway.
