The Race to 7 Million!

Dear CVA Members,
It never ceases to amaze me just how much our VA has grown over the years and the passion all of you have shown for flight simulation! For those who don't know it, we are coming up on a historical milestone at our VA - and this is only sionce we started traking it using PHPVMS! That's right - we call it the Race To 7 Million Miles!
To date our pilots have flown:
6.6 Million Miles
Over 12,000 flights
Over 19,000 hours
You continue to make our little VA your home and your passion - for that I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to all of you. Let's continue to show our passion and see how much longer it will take to hit the 7 million milestone mark!!!

Discovery Comes Home!!!

Join CVA this weekend as we celebrate the incredible journey of the Space Shuttle Discovery and her long years of service. this weeks multi is dedicated to all of the astronauts at Nasa who participated in the shuttle program and to those we lost so many years ago.
The spirit of space exploration lives on in all of us but this week we bring home Discovery to her final place of celebration.

MircoSHAFT Flight

Attention All Pilots:
We invite all pilots of every virtual airline to join us in our Multi Event this Saturday and next wednesday to express your extreme disappointment with Microsoft's latest release called Microsoft Flight. The have unfortunately left the Flight Sim community behind as they go after the gaming market and forget about the loyal following that got them here in the first place.
On March 3rd, and March 7th - join CVA and many other virtual airlines from around the globe as we fly from KLAX to KBFI where buses are waiting to take our protestors to Microsft headquarters in Redmond, WA!!! Details of our multi event can be found at:

PIREP Perfect

January was a great month here at CVA. We flew the most flights in CVA's recorded history. We had an increase in PIREPS of 9% over our best month and a 56% increase over the previous month of December.
CVA would like to congratulate the 41 active pilots that flew the routes and a special thanks to our top pilot Cal Jordan.

70 Years Ago Today...

"Dec. 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan."
May we all take a moment to remember those who gave their lives to protect our freedom on that day. Hopefully we never have to relive another day like that again. To those who we lost, to those who continue to fight for our freedoms - we salute you.
