Howdy Gents,

This message is to confirm I have just successfully done a test flight with FS2020 and CVAcars and it recorded successfully. This is great news for those who want to get moving on the new sim version and was something I wanted to try and test out as soon as possible knowing others were waiting to see.

A few quick notes:

1) You will need to download FSUIPC7 (currently Beta version) and install accordingly. See other forum post on how to do this.
2) CVAcars does not need to be modified at all and should work as it did previously once you have FSUIPC7 installed and running.

I have only tested a flight so far online to test the connectivity to our web server and CVAcars integration. I have not yet tested online with VATSIM and this will be a next step once I have some time to become more comfortable with the sim and new aircraft.

More to follow as we move forward but this is great news and a great first step. If anyone else has tested FS2020 with VATSIM conenctivity please let us know how it went and any tips you can provide to the rest of our community!

Cheers!

I just bought FS2020 and a new computer to run it, its a Intel Core I7-9700K 3.6GHz 16GB DDR4 ram, with a GeForce RTX 2070 super with 8 GB ram. hope its enough to run it.
I will get started getting our CVA Liveries on the plane we have available in FS2020 when it arrives.

Absolutely FANTASTIC NEWS Cal - Much appreciated!!!

Yes your system is definitely going to be good enough for it. I have a very similar system running with an I7-7700K and RTX 2060 Super card and 32 GB ram and I get some really nice performance and decent frame rates.

Keep me posted once you get some VATSIM flights going as well and let me know how it goes online!

Cheers!

Very exciting times to have a new FS to see develop over the next few months/years! This is Miles (CVA1010) lured back into action by this new release. A new PC and older kids also contributing to my CVA return. Anybody running one of the new GeForce GPU's? I have a RTX3070 on order! Running on med/low graphics for now...

Welcome back Miles. within the next month I am planning an upgrade to the PC I am using. On my wish list now I am planning an I9 9900, GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI Gaming Motherboard, RTX2070 Video Card, Corsair 32G Memory. I still have not picked my case and Power supply and CPU cooler.

Nice! For power supply I just upgraded to the Corsair TX750M (750w) for $145. It is semi modular so you don't have to have a lot of unnecessary wires. I am getting ready for the new graphics card! Also upped my RAM to 32gb with Corsair Vengeance. Getting your hands on a RTX2070 is not that easy unless you go used so I was advised to order and wait for the new 30 series as it will cost you the same or less and will likely be better performance.

Thanks for the CVAcars tips on my other post...

Welcome back once again Miles!

I'm running an I7-7700K 4.2 GHz CPU with 32 GB ram, and I have my FS2020 on a 500 GB SSD. I am also running a newer generation RTX 2060 Super card in my system. I have most of my settings on high, some on Ultra. There are a few tweak / performance videos out there on Youtube you can check out.

One thing I will mention is even some simmers with an i( processor and RTX3XXX series card don't get a full 60 FPS when flying. FS2020 is demanding on a system for sure but with a few tweaks you can really enjoy it and can be very fluid.

Cheers!

When we try to install CVacars v1.0.1.2 it keeps asking that I must install Netframe work version 3.5. however I already have 4.5 installed. So CVAcars will not install. any ideas?

Hi Eugene,

i am assuming you are running Windows 10. if you type in the search window next to your start button "Turn Windows features on or off you should find this item in yoru control panel and can open it.

Here at the top of the list is the .NET Framework 3.5 which i believe you enable and that should enable it.

Cheers!
