I joined CVA when Air Canadian ceased because it was a Canadian VA then CanadianXPress started up and asked me to join, which I did having known most of the guys from Air Canadian .I have over 3700 hours there.
I have been flying CVA off and on but I will commit to at least a flight a month and probably more on line. I too dislike some of the ATC people who think speed in barking orders is essential because they have thousands of planes to control lol and marbles in their mouths or bad mics or just an accent I don't quite get ..
I fly with several VA's probably too many to keep up with different planes . rules etc which I like Air Canada, Westwind, World Wide, CanadianXPress and Canadian .
Will commit to a flight a month for sure ..gotta keep this VA going
OH by the way this post shows I just joined but I was unable to get on the forums until I re registered forgot my id and password :?

Burt

Got two flight in today going to do a couple of more

No that's ok I can get on here no problem with the new log in thanks anyway Its been a busy year for me having family move back in for 8 months and now moved out and getting settled in a new place, I thought being retired would be a relaxing part of my life but far from it lol..I have not been flying much but have taken a month off from my duties as volunteer at the local hospital in Day Surgery Recovery room and am having a bit of a relaxing time and doing more flying . Just read these forums for the first time in quite some time .. guess I need to pay more attention to these things

Wow....

Guess I best get off my ass and figure out vatsim in P3dv4.

I had actually uninstalled all things FS over OOM errors all the time in the 32bit sims. Just getting back up to speed with the new 64bit version.

I'll get out there soon as I can get it all working.

Thanks Burt, Kieth, and Pat for your support.
You too have been added to the great list of CVA's most awesome pilots.
We are more than 1/2 way there, only 7 more!
I know summer and life is full of distractions, I'm no different. So we all appreciate you carving out some time for this.

Thanks Guys! Much appreciated and I will get in a short flight once I am back home as well off the road.

It's both the combination of # of unique pilots (i.e. - 15 DIFFERENT pilots) and also number of flights. I think they wanted 15 unique pilots / flights. It's great if we do more than 1 flight but you only count as 1 unique pilot. It seems they are more focused on members than activity almost LOL :)

Anyways - thank you all for your help!

Cheers!

Flight #1 complete.

Not a valid CVA route... Or aircraft for that matter. But had to take the 'ole DC-6 for a spin.

But did "Fly the flag" so to speak. :D

I'll get some actual CVA flights in once I'm back from holidays at the end of August.

Awesome Keith!!!

One of these nights maybe we'll all even get online for a multi!!! :D I may even have to have a British Colombia CVA get together one of these days. I think there are a few of us on the west coast somewhere... :)

Cheers!

Was just wondering how we were doing with the 15 unique pilots over 3 months program.
I did Cross the pond today and 2 flights YYZ-BOS-YYZ during Friday night OPS and was mildly discouraged with the lack of (non existent apparently, save for me ) CVA callsigns out there. top to bottom ATC all along the east coast and no one took advantage of it.

I have my hat on
let the stone throwing begin.
Pete.

Excellent Gents!

I have not had any more reports just yet of our "non-compliance" so hoping this trend continues :D

There will be some exciting changes coming in the future as well.

Cheers!
