Hi All,

It appears with the influx of new pilots over time we are seeing people trying to file more and more with manual pireps. It also appears people are trying to pad their number of hours by doing this process. The only one you are cheating is yourself in reality, but you are also cheating your other fellow pilots who have put the time and effort into achieving their hours the respectable and honest way.

We've been flexible with this for a while now but the process is causing grief in the financial reporting and other reasons as mentioned above. It's unfortunate that a few bad apples have caused us to have to change the way we do things.

Moving forward let me be clear:

Please install CVAcars software for flight reporting. Manual pireps are NOT going to be accepted for general reporting of your flights. Future flights will be rejected if manually filed unless by approval of the management team.

Cheers!

I agree. Glad to see some clamping down on the stat padding. Although I will have to pay more attention to when I'm closing out my flight plans, but there's nothing wrong with that.

It's those dang kids! No respect for the rules their elders so carefully developped over years and years of doing everything wrong! Dag nab it!

Forced to file one manually. CVA4403 CYEG-CYYZ. Acars decided to stop responding in mid flight.

If you normally file ACARS pireps I do accept manual because I figure you had problems. If you only file manual pireps I will refuse them.

Ahh. Thanks, Frank. Figured I'd give a heads up anyway.

Glad to be flying with you guys.
