I started with Bermuda on VATSIM and got a PAGE NOT FOUND. So then I tried VATCAN and keep getting some FIRs down for maintenance. So I gave up and Googled and landed on these direct links to Caribbean charts:

(I can get into the Bahamas folder even if Nassau FIR site is closed for maintenance)

http://www.vatcar.org/charts/

EDIT: Nevermind, the folders that have something all come out empty. It looks like we have to go through the web site.

I got Bermuda charts here:

Robert,

VATCAR does NOT cover Bermuda as this country is NOT in Caribbean:):)

To get any info or charts or anything about Bermuda airport, use website http://www.nyartcc.org/ as Vatsim New York Air Center covers Bermuda airspace and its airports although there is a continuing controversy among Vatsim people whether NYARTCC or VATSIM United Kingdom should be responsible for Bermuda air space coverage.

I never said it was. I said I started with Bermuda and gave up 'cause the link on VATSIM is not good.

Then I moved on to Caribbean FIRs and Nassau is always down for maintenance. As for the other FIRs, some have PDFs, some have PNGs.

Then I moved on to Mexico and found a huge selection of charts. I always had trouble finding Mexican charts before.

That New York link is nice; lots of documents for their major airports. I really like the Exit Instructions, nice touch, I wished all airports had that page. But the one for Bermuda is over 3Meg in size, I prefer individual pages, loads instantly on older machines.

The NY version did have a sort of STAR illustration that wasn't mentionned on the link I had found. I'm going to try to extract those 2 pages.

Robert,

My apologies to you. I thought you were looking for Bermuda charts in VATCAR.

Once again, my apologies to you.

No problem here Aharon.

For those of you that hate charts as images (PNG files), you can use Open Office Writer (same as MS Word except it's FREE). Then import an Image and then Export as PDF, piece of cake.

There's probably PDF conversion utilities out there, but I already have Open Office and use PaintShopPro to adjust the images if required.

This was the only place I found charts for Nassau. Their VATSIM web site is still down, probably forever.

http://www.fscharts.com/index.p....rm=mynn

Only 2 approach plates and a generic airport chart (has ATIS freq), but better than nothing.
