Guys,

When you reach KABE-Allentown, PA, you're less than 100 miles from my real-life home. KRVL, Reedsville is to the West, it's 10 miles from the house. We got a localizer but only local traffic, and we have the second largest Amish community in PA, after Lancaster. Lake Raystown is nearby and should be visible from V106 southwest of KRVL. The Appalachian mountains start west of Harrisburg and last until the Ohio state line west of Pittsburgh. It's pretty here this time of year so fly VFR west into Pittsburgh before you fly home!

I've flown the Fuel Rte twice now. Trying to get usage to less than 2000 lbs. A windy day will help. Prevailing wind here is almost always west to east.

I lived 8 years in Center Valley PA about 10 miles south of Allentown duing the years 1970 to 1978. Most fun I had was my brothers the frat parties at Penn State U. This is not too far from where you live.

I am not sure what to do with your rerun. Take a look at your log?? This looks like, as it did in the first submission, that you are sending in only the final end of your log and the beginning is missing. I have no takeoff or beginning info.

George, I had similar problems when I used the parking brake when holding short; it totally screwed up FSacars.

Ok, so the point is to just come in for a full stop and have enough fuel to do a missed approach (and maybe land at an alternate if that is the case) plus 30 minutes of fuel?

I thought we were supposed to do the missed approach in the flight...

Remember, in order to fly a missed approach, you must first have flown the approach.

Take the ILS RWY 05 approach into Toronto. You get clearance from ATC, intercept the LOC , G/S comes alive, you start down in the clag... you cross Meadowvale NDB, still in IMC. 1900' , 4.1 nm from the MAP.. 3nm later, you come out of the cloud, runway in sight and above minimums, but still no landing clearance...Then you hear ATC "CVA1409, pull up and go around, departing traffic on runway".

There in the distance is one of those other ariline aircraft, just rejecting his takeoff roll trailing sparks from a blown tire....

You have just completed an approach, and are about to start the missed approach... climb to 1100', hdg 057 deg... turn left to intercept R182 to YEE, climb to 5000'... That part is the missed approach.

Then comes either a hold and re-sequencing into the arrival stream, or the diversion to an alternate.

If you divert BEFORE starting the approach, then that is a diversion, not a missed approach. You have to have started an approach to go missed - and this can happen any time from the start of the approach (loc more than 2 divs away, off GS etc..) all the way down to wheels down (and you realise there is no way you can stop in time... TOGA!). hence the need to plan for an approach, plus a missed approach.

Then if you divert, you need to fuel to get to your alternate, fly an approach there.

The extra 30/45 minutes...your regulatory mandated safety net, just in case!

So ... assuming everythign goes to plan first time, you will land with minimum fuel, plus diversion & approach fuel, plus missed approach fuel.

Argh. I will not use FSPax for the next attempt. Nothing like in flight emergencies to make for a crazy flight. I do like to hear them scream though...

I cant explain that at all. I was sure that all the data was there when I sent it. But clearly not. I'll try yet again!

Yeah, I'm curious to see what happened with my latest entry. Since we only have 4 tries, I want to make sure I'm going at it the best way.

Sorry about the delay posting more data I have been very busy. I will get this up done by Saturday morning eastern time. And Yes George all the data is there on your last flight. I am not sure what caused the problem before but I am glad it worked out.
