Hi
Are you able to use another panel other than the one included in the CVA aircraft and if so do they need to be configured and if so how is this done?
Cheers

The short answer is, yes. You can use any panel you like. In fact, you can use any AIRPLANE you like, so long as it's the same kind. For example, you may not be happy with the CVA B737 from the website. There are several other authors who have made 737 which are available for download, both freeware and payware. If the route calls for a 737 you can use any 737 you want. Doesn't have to be the one from the website.

That said, there may not be a CVA paint job available for your particular plane, if you use one other then those found here at CVA.

I'm not sure what you mean by "configuring" the panel. If you mean installing the panel into Flight Simulator, the instructions to do so are usually found in the readme.txt file of the panel you downloaded.

Welcome aboard! let us know if you need anything else.

Thanks Keith
Actually I did not make myself clear about the configuration of the panel. I meant did it have to be configured for CAVAcars? Or is that
a aircraft or sim configuration that makes ACars work?
Thank you for the information
Great flying on this site....love it
Cheers

Hi - CVAcars is third party tool and only tracks a few of your flight variables. It requires only that you log in as a CVA member, and tell it your flight plan.

Does that answer your question? I take most of this stuff for granted after it works so I may have forgotten something.

Welcome to CVA, Ed!

Yeah, what Rob said. It's a stand-alone program completely independent of Flight Simulator that records your flight and compiles your "pilot report". The instructions to setup and use CVAcars are on this site. If you have any problems with it, let us know in the CVAcars help forum.

See you soon!
