I start SB4 under Modules in FS-X in Full Screen and the main SB window remains invisible on the center screen. I had to poke around until I found the top bar and dragged it to the right display where it became visible?

So now I have the main SB panel but the SB Transponder panel is hidden. I can see it right beside the main SB panel on the right display when I'm still starting FS-X in windowed mode, but it will remain in the background no matter what I do. I can't even get to drag it around to test on other displays?

This is my current system and configuration:

- Windows 7 beta 64bit
- nVidia drivers 181.20
- Left monitor: KDS VS190i, 1024x768 32bit @ 85MHz
- Center monitor: Samsung Syncmaster, 1024x768 32bit @ 85MHz
- Right monitor: Azura Generic PNP, 1024x768 32bit @ 85MHz

- Core 2 quad Q6600 2.4 running at 2.7
- EVGA 680i T1 FSB running at 1200
- two OCZ SLI-Ready Dual Channel 1024MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz (running non-SLI)
- two XFX GeForce 9600 GT XXX Alpha Dog 512MB DDR3 (non-SLI, non-PhysX, stock speed)
- Ultra M923 Full Tower
- Ultra ChillTec Thermal Electric CPU Cooler
- PowerUp GEN-6803 800W Power Supply
- Hitachi 500GB SATA 7200rpm 16MB hard drive
- Sony DRU190A 20X DVD drive

One of the problems you may have is that you are running Beta windows. There is no guarantee that any other software’s and or drivers you are using will function properly with this operating software.
Beta software’s are distributed to use the public for testing purposes and also used for developers to check compatibility with their stuff.

Yeah, thought Win 7 was stable enough to start building on it but it<s still too soon.

I had set up my gamer as dual boot, I<m back on Win XP Home now. I'll see how it goes on here, I just didn't want to invest a lot of time and energy setting up FS-X now, and then having to redo it all later in Win 7.

My right monitor won't light up in XP, I have to check what driver version I'm at here.

....

I've switched back to using Win XP Home, keeping it as a dual boot was one of the few good decisions I've taken in my life.

Guess what? The SB transponder window does the same thing, it hides in the background, it's something with SoftTH.

And I've got an extra 2G of ram arriving in a few days so I can run Win 7 without always running at max and now I'm back to a 32 bit OS that won't even know it's there.

Saddest thing is that FS-X runs with less than 500M of ram under XP Home, but it was running at 1.5G under 64 bit. I might even be getting better frame rates, I didn't take any bench marks in Win 7 so I can't check.

Tonight I couldn't even keep the main SB panel in the foreground. Ken stayed at Dorval with me for a while to test mikes, it calibrates fine, but it breaks up at his end, and he broke up at mine.

I dragged the window around, I could click on START or whatever that command button is and get the dropdown menu, but the window wouldn't hold. I eventually gave up and flew to Quebec offline.

I plugged a 4th monitor on the gamer and was able to drag the SB window there from inside the game. Once there, it behaved normally, I was even able to drag the transponder window there too.

But for some reason I'm getting the occasional SB fatal error, once when I opened a private chat window earlier today, and again tonight when I think someone else tried to PV me.

I guess I really have no choice but to get that 2nd PC up. UPS passed friday with my parts, but I didn't hear him knocking and slept through. :(
