First of all - I've always hated this program and I wish some VATSIM geeks would write a new one.

It used to work. But now I can't get any ATC Voice on VATSIM. Probably has something to do with my new motherboard and Win 7 install. I have a USB headset and mic. It tests OK on the Teamspeak self-test. I connect OK on VATSIM and can see everyone. Messages show in the chat window. I didn't try texting but it looks like it would work. Here is the VVL Bar:

The voice channel 122.85 is tuned in Comm2 and looks like it is active. The channel tuned in Comm1 was an active controller when I took this capture. I tried several. All I get are grey horizontal bars for Comm1-I tried clicking them, no results. I get the beep when I push my talk button and if I'm in Comm2 (voice channel) the light on the VVL bar comes on. But nothing in Comm1. If I tune Comm1 to the voice channel, the bars light up like Comm2.

So now I am stumped. This thing used to work fine! Anyone have any ideas?

Never mind!! I fixed it. There were a couple boxes unchecked in FSInn-SET-VARIOUS
Works fine now.

I uploaded pics I saved on my network PC a while back:

I think the slider on my VVL voice should be higher, probably explains why some hear me bad.

In case it helps anyone - I had to check these two boxes to make it work. I'm not sure why they were unchecked to begin with.

Not a waste of time at all Rob !

When I get time to play around with my FSINN , I will certianly be checking out this thread. I kinda put FSINN on the back burner for quite some time now and have been using Squawk-box.

Hopefully sometime soon , I will find the time.

There is a lot of useful info here for FSINN.

Thanks for this.

I do have one question though.

What key do you guys use for your " push to talk " button ?

The first thing is to install FSINN in the proper order.
1. FSCOPILOT
2. FSINN
Note... Make sure you have the proper version to the sim you are using FS9=1.6 or 1.7 or FSX only 1.7

Then start flightsim and open the settings window using the picture here below.

Then you get this screen ( below) so you can adjust a shortcut key to open the INN control panel. These are my settings "ctrl + F8" you can set other windows but I do not becasue from the control panel ,ost of the other windows I use are there on the panel

Then the next setting in the PTT button (Push to talk). This is adjusted by oppening the FSFDT control panel. This panel is oppened by double click on the 6 lights in the systray (next to clock on your desktop). Go to VOICE/VATSIM/KEYMAPPINGS. I use the RightControl button of my keyboard. Of course you may want to set up your Joystick button. This is just a prefference.

Sweet! I was about to post about not being able to hear ATC with FSInn, now you guys have gone and trouble shot for me already!

Great stuff!

Hopefully by the next multi I'll have this figured out. I flew today from MMMX to KDFW on the way back to Canada from the Multi. FSInn worked (mostly) and I just need to work out a few kinks. Since squawkbox is doing such a poor job rendering our colours I'm switching. I've seen posts by others with FSInn where EVERY plane shows up in CVA colours! I only see those running squawkbox showing CVA colours when I'm running squawkbox.

I use a CH yoke and use the 2 trigger buttons to talk; left is VATSIM, right is CVA, or vice versa, can't remember.
