Voice is specific to the software though. Frank? You use FSInn........
I have no idea what you are talking about. ???
Can you restructure your question?

If you mean private voice, I don't think you can do that in either SB of FSinn. I use FSinn and private text chat is just as Fank says:
.msg userid message
Once you've either sent or received a private message, you get an extra folder at the top after UNICOM, COM1 and COM2. That way you can switch between all of them at will, even pile up a bunch of other private conversations.
I haven't seen any way to do a group private text room though, it's all individual convos. That's why we use the CVA private channel; we can text or voice in there.

OK I see, but the question Bill asked was "private text".

Unless I am mistaken, to set keys to talk on VATSIM and CVA channel:
- click on FSFDT, looks like double traffic lights at far right of task bar. - click on VOICE, VATSIM, KEY MAPPINGS. - now SET on key or button for FS (that's VATSIM). - enable special mapping for private VVL channel. - now SET a key or button for FS PRIV (that's CVA channel).
Now to talk in FSinn, click on Advanced, VVL opens up a radio bar. On that bar, click on the grey dropdown triangle, select the CVA channel you had set and press ENTER. You should now be able to talk on VATSIM and on the CVA channel.
You can test your buttons; you get a purple light at left to indicate XMIT, and an orange light for Com1, Com2 or CVA channel.
