Shalom whoever is in charge of approving the FSCARS flight,

I flew from PANC to PAJN.

This is what I got from FSCARS:

* Submitted By: Aharon Dayan
* Departure Airport: Anchorage International Airport (PANC)
* Arrival Airport: Juneau International Airport (PAJN)
* Aircraft: A319-100 (C-GBHR)
* Flight Time: -2.00
* Date Submitted: 01/01/2010
* Status: Approval Pending

Can you please fix it? It should be 1:19 hours of flight plus 1/2 hour of waiting at PANC due to heavy traffic in PAJSN.

Thanks

Thanks

Aharon

Unfortunately I cannot resolve the log entries on that flight Aharon. Please submit a manual report for this flight, there are far too many issues with this log. Something went screwy so I will be deleting this one.

Ok Chucky

Thanks I will do the manual flight report filing as long as I can figure out how to do that as it is first time I am doing this.

Would you like me to include 1/2 hour of waiting in airport due to heavy traffic or not? I do not know CVA's policy on that and hope you would explain or clarify. Thanks

Aharon

Aharon, you may already know this , but fsacars only starts logging your time when you RELEASE your parking brakes and the time stops when you apply your parking brakes once at your destination. Try to base you time with that in mind , if possible.

With that said , I always make it a point to NOT apply the parking brake at any time while flying, because I think that it will certianly mess up your fascars log time.

Is this what you meant ?

So does FSAcars log time standing on the taxiway etc? I didn't think so.

Good question. Although I do not question FSCARS' recording policy, I believe that FSCARS records time waiting in taxiway in line for take off.

I believe FSCARS starts recording when you release the brakes at the gate.

Take look at the total hour from one of your FSCARS' flights and compare to the total hour from your Vataware flight record for this same flight and you will see that FSCARS' total hour for the flight is some minutes highers than vataware.

Vataware starts recording when you lift off from runway and ends when you touch down. FSCARS ends when you activate the brakes at the airport of arrival.

Aharon

FSAcars records Block to Block time. This is the time from pushback at the gate until you arrive at your destination's gate. Or as Aharon pointed out, from parking brake release to parking brake set.
