I just installed these back in last night and I'm kinda lost as to what EXE we are supposed to use. I found several utilities, not quite sure how to use them all yet, but it's the main programs that interest me the most right now.

Gamer PC:
- Koch chart.
- Metrics.
- Pressure.
- Chrono.
- Pushback.
- Radio.
- FSFDTCPlite.

Network PC:
- Koch chart.
- Metrics.
- Pressure.
- Chrono.
- Pushback.
- Radio.
- FSFDTCP.
- FSFDTCPTlite.
- AIbridge.
- FSinn.
- FSinnUIVVL.
- FWinn.

Exactly which ones are we supposed to use?

So I started up every main program on the network PC and have this in the thread list on FWinn:

Master (yellow)
FSinnNet Svr (green)
Window (green)
FSinnNet Cnx 127.0.0.1 (yellow)
FSinnNet Cnx 127.0.0.1 (yellow)
P2P (green)
FSDconnection (yellow)

Not sure why I have 2 FSinnNet CNX entries, maybe I clicked FSinn twice, I do that sometimes, not really sure if I did it.

I have FS-X and FSfdt started up on the gamer.

Ok, now I'm getting myself really confused, I thought I had downloaded FSinn v1.3 and FScopilot v1.7 (double-checking installs...)

EDIT: FScopilot on the gamer and network PC is v1.7.824, FSSin on the network PC is V1.3.823, confirmed it by uninstall programs.

I believe when you start up FSX the correct ones should start up on their own . Since you have two separate PCs running, I'm not sure if this is the case for you.

In any case, if you are starting them up manually (after starting FSX) you should open FWInn first, then the Control Panel (the six green/red lights), then finally FSInn UI.

The rest of those items (Koch Chart, Metrics, etc) are really just tools that you can use if you want, but they do not necessarily have to be open.

It is the case for me, that's why I said above I have a gamer and network PC.

Things seem to be working, except I have no sound. But at least I can see others and have text to start.

Not trying to rub salt in old wounds Rob, but I just came across this info in regards to SimConnect. It appears that Microcrap has no less than three versions of the SDK package floating around.

The RTM version which shipped on the discs.
An SP1 version that works with...wait for it...SP1
And finally a version for SP2/Acceleration.

( The version SP1A is only if you are running FSX with no service packs. It just addresses an issue with the initial SDK that is corrected in the following versions.)

Question...on your FSX install, were you using the correct version of the SDK?

Here is the link to the SDK downloads...

Yeah, I noticed that too. But I've given up on Squawkbox and SimConnect for now, I'm going to give FSinn v1.3 a shot.
