Hi Kaleb,

You don't need to reinstall the game. The switch back and forth is common with the AI ATC. Used to happen to me all the time on my Vancouver to Seattle flights. Have a try flying on VATSIM. Online flying is much more satisfying than flying by yourself.

Start out by just sitting at the gate and having a listen to the chatter. Then you can start flying in areas with little or no ATC until you're ready to take the leap in to full online ATC.

Post back here if you need any help getting online.

I switched to the payware-Radar Contact program for off-line ATC months ago for this reason and never looked back. It's much more realistic and you can have a copilot tune the radio and make the replies - no pushing buttons just to switch centers, etc. Has everything except ground control and that is planned soon in an upgrade. It's also an excellent 'teacher' for VATSIM.
