I have been gathering flight time using the CVA Bombardier CRJ200. Several times when taxiing for take-off and/or taxiing to the gates, the aircraft suddenly rises and crashes back to the runway. Have lost several flight hours because of this issue. Any ideas as to the cause?

We encountered something similar in the LDS-767. It had something to do with autopilot, FMS and the airplane trying to maintain an altitude at a given waypoint. Of course it couldn't cause it was still on the ground.

Did you install an add-on FMS lately?

Didn't that have something to do with the FMS not knowing the final waypoint (that is, the destination)? Let me know if you want me to look it up on the LDS web site.

cheers

I think it had to do with one waypoint having an altitude associated with it. I remember there were a few threads about this topic, with one being mega longwinded.

http://www.freeskyproject.com/topic/360 ... -bouncing/

- invisible holes in some taxiways.
- bad center of gravity due to fuel/cargo distribution.
- bad textures.

Take your pick.

or

- a glitch in the game scenery at KATL and KEWR.

It would help to know what version of FS, and what airport.

Googling for variations of CRJ ERJ HOP BOUNCE gives a LOT of pages. It would be nice to be able to narrow it down.

The CVA Bomadier CRJ is a freeware aircraft guys, no fms. I know I've had that problem happen to me (not sure what aircraft) a long time ago. It seems to me the fix was, going into the aircraft config and changing a number, or, making a change in fsuipc (if you are using a registered version) - might have been "ticking" the spiking boxes?

cheers Bill
