I am trying out the CRJ200 from our hanger - it's a posky.

When I use AP to turn about 150 degrees, it overshoots. Pic 1 shows max bank, and Pic 2 shows overshoot (yellow arrow).

There is a button on the AP panel that says "Half Bank", but it doens't change anything.

Anyone know if this is unexpected? Thanks

Not sure what is going on, but I can tell by the screenshot that the bank angle is extreme. No more than 30 degrees with passengers is more in the norm.

Cheers Bill

I think due to the sharp bank angle it can't recover in time and over shoots, If you check the "aircraft.cfg" in the [autopilot] section there should be an entry "max_bank=20,10" there isn't, it's missing that is the degrees of bank, add it to the autopilot section of the aircraft.cfg without the quotes and the 1/2 BANK switch will work also. if you want a bit more try max_bank=25,15

I looked in my aircraft folder and found a CRJ700 and a CVA_CRJ2_9. The 700 is the default and it has those lines for maxbank. I changed that one first before I realised the CRJ2_9 is the CVA 200 for FSX - but it has the following lines re bank:

max_bank_acceleration=1.800000
max_bank_velocity=3.000000

And by the way, the 700 had maxbank as 30,15 as in:
max_bank=30,15
max_bank_acceleration=1.8
max_bank_velocity=3.00

Duh - I guess I just need to add the missing max_bank=30,15 line! :oops:

Yup - works perfectly. Thanks.

No problem, it was perfect timing, I was just working on the bank angle switch for the MD11, it has 3 rates and an auto, that depending on the aircraft speed. I find 30 degrees is a lot so I change mine to 20 or 25
