For those of you that have downloaded the CVA Boeing 737-800 for FSX, there has been an upgrade to that package.

We had reports that the landing lights were blinding livestock within a 30 mile radius of the airport. The lighting has been...dimmed.

It was reported that the auto brakes as well as RTO were non-functional. An aircraft maintenance technician was dispatched and the problem remedied.

Found that the thrust reverse was also unserviceable. Problem located and repaired.

And since we had the AME on site, I had him go in and turn up the flow rates on the hydraulics to the ailerons. Nothing worse than an aircraft banks like a lazy sloth. It still is no fighter, but improved.

Please note that the previous install had two versions, one with eyebrow windows and one without. After this install, you will have just the eyebrow window model.

To upgrade, simply download the package again and run the installer. It will install directly over the previous install.

There is an error in the airplane config from Project Opensky, they forgot to include the checklist subfolder for the checklist and reference. Here is the updated link for these files in AIRCRAFT.CFG (found in SimObjects\Airplanes\CVA_B738 folder of your FS-X install):

kb_checklists=checklist\boeing737-800_check
kb_reference=checklist\boeing737-800_ref

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To override the default checklist with your own:

- copy boeing737-800_check.htm to SimObjects\Airplanes\CVA_B738.
- edit as required.
- change link to checklist in config file by removing the folder name added above.

That way you can keep the original checklist for future use.

Thanks Chuck. You guys rock. 738 is my favourite plane and I was getting tired of flying the Westjet 738 and pretending I had Canadian Liveries on it (oops was that out loud).

Err, I mean never mind :blush:
