Was hoping to complete my CVA Regional aircraft livery but it appears that the Project Fokker - 100/70 is no longer available for download at Avsim.

If, by chance, it doesn't become available in the future will CVA be replacing it with a substitute aircraft ?

If not, what aircraft presently available would be suitable to use for flights listing the F - 100 as type of aircraft to use ?

Clay

Clay, AVSIM library was wiped clean by some fool a while back. It's possible that they just haven't gotten around to the Fokker or it was forgotten and fallen through the cracks of the massive rebuild. I went back last week for some helicopters and several of the ones I had already downloaded were still not back up.

I wouldn't put an X on the Fokker yet, try contacting the good folks from AVSIM and ask them the same question. It's possible that they will upload it as soon as you let them know it is indeed missing. They underwent phenomenal work to put the site back together, there's a thread here somewhere about this.

I just googled "project fokker" and it's still there. You should be able to download it from the project fokker main site. All the updates are available there also.

Cheers Bill

Bill,

Do you know if the Fokker 100 on the Project Fokker website will work on FSX or is it FS9 only?

It's for FS9. I don't know if it will work with FSX.

Cheers Bill

Hi Guys , Thanks for the information. I have checked the "Project Fokker" web site and it redirects me to the AVSIM Library which in turn tells me that the file is currently unavailable.

If , by chance , I am able to download a "Project Fokker" or just a Fokker 100 file from some other source I'll post results here.

Clay

I may have a hit on something...downloading now. I will check the file integrity and if it is OK, I will put it on the site for members to download. It is the least we can do if Avsim keeps crashing like this.

For the record Chuck, my comments back there about AVSIM being hacked were about that major incident way back (we had a thread in here somewhere). There hasn't been another occurrance that I'm aware of.

They might beat us about the head with a blunt object if we host their files, unless they give us the all-clear naturally.

I am well aware of Avsim's problems. As far as the file hosting goes, they would quite likely be less than amused and no doubt tell us to remove the file.
