Hey guys, was there a new version of the 737-800 (our CVA paint one) to fix the breaks? Because maybe its just me but auto-break doesen't work but im fine with manually breaking, but It doesen't seem to work well, I roll off the runway most of the time, is there anyway I can increase my braking ability?

Hi Matt,

I would suggest you give this thread a read, specifically the panel from Avsim. This should help somewhat. I ran a quick test using Rejected Takeoff Settings with this panel and the auto brakes worked as advertised.

Ok, here is how I did it....

First off, I used Windows Explorer to go into my C drive and created a new folder called Wingnut or whatever you want. After we are done, it will be deleted.

I then ran the installer and when it asked for the destination folder, I browsed to the folder I created. I ran the installer and all the files copied into my Wingnut folder on my C drive.

I went into my temporary folder mentioned above and copied the PS737NG folder found in the Gauges folder to my FSX Gauges folder.

I went into the temporary folder again and selected the folder called PS737NG which was in the Aircraft/PSPanels folder. For these instructions to work, make sure you copy the PS737NG folder to your SimObjects/Airplanes folder.

Finally, go into your CVA_B738 folder. Inside the Panel subfolder, you will find a panel config file. Edit the panel config file so that the only text on it is as follows and save it...

[fltsim]
alias=PS737NG\panel

Now your 737-800 should appear in the selection menu and you can now delete your temporary folder. :;):

Yes, thank you Chuck, your far better at explaining the installation than the readme files :D

Anyways, now that I have the panel, how the heck do I use the FMC? Is there a guide or something I can have a look at that shows me how to use my planned flight plans, and how to plug in manual VOR's or waypoints incase my flight plan gets changed.

What FMC is this Matt? The panel we have just been talking about comes with no FMC. If you are having issues with another type of FMC, let us know which one and we will see if we can assist.

IRS I think means it can tell you where you are. In my LDS 767 I tell it where we are and it keep track. That's all I know.

Radios - everyone uses them and navigates with them.

EHSI - the great little window panel on the heavies (and others) just below your attitude display. Can show you a map, ILS, VOR displays and others.

No need to learn everything overnight!

Oh, right, ATC wanted to ammend my flight plan, and I have no clue how to ammend my flight plan with the new panel so I just logged off vatsim

As for the navigation, is there any way I can get in there and plug in manual VOR's or waypoints and make it go there like GPS?

If I can't do this and I need radio to navigate, where can I get VOR and waypoint info to get there?(like the VOR frequency and such if its not on my kneeboard flightplan?)
