How Prizes Are to be Awarded

At present we are creating the “game” to be played in order for you, as pilots, to win. As soon as all the details are in order the information will be available to all.

There are a few things we want to make clear. We want our staff and pilots to have a blast. We are not here to intimidate any pilots. This event is for fun. I realize that flying into new territory may be intimidating but that is the fun of flying into new places (being a real pilot myself I get bored of flying into the same places all the time). We would like pilots to know what CZEG has to offer. From mountains in the west to the iceberg territory to the north to the flat plains in the east, where they say that if your dog runs away you will still see him running 2 days later, and from there we have our friends to the south in Montana and Oregon! Of the airports above, 2 have arrival procedures and they are very easy. There is nothing too hard about these airports. Aircraft flying into airports such as Calgary, and the airports in Edmonton, will receive vectors. The rest can expect full approaches, and holds may be necessary.

Our staff is here to help you if you have any questions. We will be online one hour before the event takes place. At this point, you can clarify any questions you have with us or until then just email me at skudrunner@shaw.ca and I would be happy to help you. We have a very professional staff including real life controllers and some real life pilots, so expect a professional and friendly welcome.

Thanks,
Jack Colwill
CZEG FIR Assistant Chief
