Hi JC,
I read your post about cvacars shutting down on you midflight, I have had this happen on several occasions.
first thing to do before pushing back is make note of the time and your fuel load on your note pad.
then if the ACARS system crashes on you midflight you will know this vital info for when you end your flight.
At the end of your flight do a manual pirep where it will ask you for flight number , time enroute , and fuel burned and routing.
If the connection to vatsim is lost, just reconnect. They will understand, unless you are on approach at LAX on a friday night.
AND if fsx crashes mid flight, May I susggest you get a little program called FSXSave available on avsim or flightsim. this saves
your flight at regular intervals. allowing you to resume from approximately where FSX crashed. although this may entail some frantic flight plan/FMC reprogramming initially.
Losing CVACARS does not mean all is lost.
Happy flying
