It is NO problem!!! When you have chance to start your first flight on Vatsim, be sure to use airports that are not busy. I would suggest Alaskan or Caribbean airports.

I took off at PHLI in the 1900D at 8:30 and just missed Robert coming on. Noticed right away that it was cloudy to 7500 feet in the islands (used Active Sky 2012 and actual time). So I didn't get the views I'd hoped for but it was pretty good flying weather until a rainstorm at Hilo at the end.









Pretty clear coming into Maui. Robert was flying the Goose, so it would have been a long wait for him to get to me. So I started off to Hilo in what seemed clearer skies.









But it did not stay clear. Picked up gusty 15 knt winds and rain approaching Hilo.







So I had to stay on the ILS down to about 400, but got in safely.









All turned out well. Robert, I hope you got to Maui safely. I know you said the Goose was flying sluggish for you. We needed some more company!!

Yikes I did not realize I made Barry run into nasty thunderstorm in his props!!!

Darn too many clouds were blocking marvelous view of the capital of Hawaii for both Robert and Barry.

Only 2 pilots in this Hawaiian event when there were 14 pilots last week for Alaskan event?????????? Something wrong with Hawaii or their nice weather???? Or do all CVA pilots prefer sub zero weather??? I guess I will not be including Hawaii in future events. I thought everybody always gets excited at propeller plane events???

At least Robert and Barry had good time. That is what it counts!!

By the way, next weekend's event, all of you are going back to brutal sub-zero temperature event where all of you will need four layers of clothes to survive the event next weekend.

My apology for the late report. The winner of this week’s competition is Cal Jordan. Congratulations job well done this is second time award for you. At present the web site does not allowed showing multiple awards but Chuck is working on this problem.

I just realized that I forgot to create award banner for fuel mizer contest.

So, Frank am I correct that Robert H is winner of fuel mizer contest or have you decided to skip fuel mizer contest for this event because of huge difference of fuel consumption between propeller planes? Your call Please let me know your verdict.

The Fuel Miser contest is not being done because I have an issue with fairness of the competition. We will reinstate this after I figure this out.
