Great job Aharon. Unfortnately I cannot participate today. I am at my lake cabin putting things right for the winter. Last time a float plane put down here the pilot was taken behind the sauna. It is not very safe lake for aeroplanes. Better for fishing ;)

CYWH is at Avsim file name cywh_afx_tl.zip

Also Cal do you think you could send me a copy of your Beaver.

W55 is part of the Orbx package, although I have never tried it.

Edit: So is CYHC and CYWH, the other two we need. But they may also be in FSX/9.

My freeware CYVR Vancouver international airport scenery has seaplane base with three piers for sea planes so that I will do is to use Grumman plane to taxi from CYVR apron into waters of seaplane base with three piers next to runway 26L and then take off from waters to CYWH in Victoria harbor. Sure beats going through trouble installing too many sceneries.

It is no problem, Jaakko. Try to fly in event on Wednesday using your own time zone for your own convenience.

Sudeer, it is not necessary for you to get up at five am. You can participate in this event on Saturday using your own time zone at your own convenience.

To all CVA pilots living in Europe or Asia or Middle East, all of you can fly in your own time zone ON Saturday and On Wednesday. It is not necessary for any of you to get up at 4 or 5 am for the event to meet 00:30z. What counts is YOUR PARTICIPATION on specific days SATURDAY and WENDESDAY for all CVA events. The 00:30z event time is for CVA pilots living in North America, Caribbean, Central America, and South America continentals only.

Thanks,

Aharon

There is no CYHC in FSX either. Even with the Orbx scenery. I remember talking about that with those guys.

I tried Coal Harbour and found that though, but it's not Coal Harbour float plane base in Vancouver, it's a little place up on the island near Port Hardy.

true but FSX map is pretty accurate. Look at Google maps of CYHC and compare to FSX map. Then use your float boat to fly OFFLINE from CYVR to CYHC and then log into Vatsim and fly ONLINE from CYHC to CYWH. I simply taxiied on waters from piers off CYVR to waters of Vancouver harbor

1. I can't see any reference to the routes in this thread.

2. We really have to do something about the Multi page. No wonder we get nobody up there; the page I see is dated back to May.

Edit: I found these on Route Admin page:

CVA0006 from CYHC to CYWH
CVA0007 from CYWH to W55
CVA0008 from W55 to CYHC

And for those that never saw this (like me), the Multi routes can be seen on the Schedule page on CVA web site, don't go through CVAcars Schedule feature (like I always do).
http://canadianva.com/phpvms/index.php/Schedules/view

The Multi routes are at the top of the list.

Frank, that link returned nothing. A search on that site for CYHC returns a review, screen shots and a question on scenery design?

Robert CVA0022,

I am baffled by your two posts. I always post extremely well described and well explained event announcements and always included every single detail even the little ones.

Yet you tell me you could not find any references to the routes and flights? All you need is to go to view flight schedules and make bids on flights using specific airport codes that I provided on this thread. Eight CVA pilots had no problem doing that and participated in that event tonight.

And as for avsim and flightsim links that you were having trouble with, all you have to do is to punch in airport codes on search field of both avsim and flightsim to find airport sceneries. Posting direct links to those websites can be tricky.

Aharon

I am working on this issue with Darryl and hope to get this resolved as soon as possible.

And tip for anyone who wants to find FSX default CYWH visually on FSX without extra freeware or payware CYWH scenery, look for big brown ferry pier with waiting cars on Victoria harbor. That is where CYWH is. FSX default map is pretty accurate compared to real world maps.
