Now by all means take your time with this but I would love to see some routes from Montreal to Cuba or Toronto to Cuba... I believe that a class 3 or 4 would be best for the routes and I would love to fly them... Cayo coco would be my first destination and then Varadero would be my next hope...

Any ways if it is at all possible to add some new flights I would love to see some to Cuba

Once again take your time with it.

Hi there,

There is a route by JETX from Montreal to Iceland which is 4h30 long. A tad shorter than going to Heathrow anyway.

Iceland is often windy so it is always challenging to land.

Hi there CVA501, Welcome to CVA. Just missed that magic 500 didn't you? :D

I think Kaleb was talking about CVA routes available from the schedule. Have you looked around yet? If not, you'll see that we have numbered routes.

The idea of routes to vacation destinations is a great one. We have very limited staff that can work on those at the moment though. We don't claim to be a big VA business group with everyone wearing suits and ties, but we're very proud of what we've setup so far.

Hope to see you in the skies, and don't forget to put your name on your posts so we know who we're talking to. Or you can add a sig from the control panel etc etc.

cheers

Yep, I miss the magic 500 number indeed hahaha

I know there are tons of flight anyway, add on top of this multi's which I am looking foward to participate. This is why I am pushing to get my 25hr of flight before saturday. last weekend it was a class 2 flight so I didn't want to spend 3-4 hours and not having them counted (unless someone tells me they would have been credited even with my class 1)

And like you said it is a very good setup. I looked at other but this suits me better. no pressure to fly and everything works very well for me so far. KISS is always to way to go.

Just so u know Stephane for CVA multi nights your rank does not effect the planes u can fly... so if u have the rank to fly class 1 aircraft and the multi is a class 2 plane you are aloud to fly that class for the night on the multi route... you will get hours for flying them like any other flight. After you are done the multi you have to go back to useing your ranks class of aircraft until you get more flying time...

See you online!!!

I've been busy adding new B767 routes to our new Montreal hub and totally missed this thread. Exotic vacations have been planned for quite some time but there's only so many new flights I can work on at a time. Check this post:

http://www.canadianva.com/cgi-bin....=48#top

...
Then I'm taking a serious look at 15 exotic destinations:
- Nassau, Bahamas
- Varadero, Cuba
- Cancun, Mexico
- Port-au-Prince, Haiti
- Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands
- Montego Bay, Jamaica
- Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
- San Juan, Puerto Rico
- St Maarten, Netherlands Antilles
- St Johns, Antigua And Barbuda
- Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe
- Vieuxfort, Saint Lucia
- Barbados, Barbados
- St Georges, Grenada
- Scarborough, Trinidad And Tobago

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm toying with 3 ideas right now:

a) individual flights between Montreal and each of those destinations.

We already have a LOT of routes over US airspace already.

b) Montreal - Nassau, and then flights from Nassau to the remaining 14 destinations.

This would be the realistic way of doing things, but this isn't a real job and we're here to have fun.

c) Montreal - St Maarten, and then flights from St Maarten to the remaining 14 destinations.

This would minimize time over US airspace, give maximum airtime over the Islands and a lot of traffic in and out of St Maarten.

If you don't know what St Maarten is like, then you have to see this:
