I have the same question, I am also working on the Vatsim tests, and practiing a couple of the charters with the twin otter, and FS9's built in ATC. Found landing in Sandspit with a 20 knt cross wind a triing experiance. I am hopiing to find out soon, but am patiant as I know the intsructors have lives and may not be able to mark are the test as fast as we may hope.

Okay, if you pass the test - it will be silver wings.

Gold wings are reserved for members who have demonstrated a sustained contribution to CVA.

Not sure the status of the exams module. Craig? Ken?

My name is James Gibson and I will be away @ Harrison Hot Springs for a week, I guess I ill do the same as Sam and write it again if I didn't pass? I hope I did, as I am doing well with Vatsim, although it is a slow and painful proceess teaching one's self all of this. But quite rewarding in the end I am sure.

Welcome aboard Sam and James.

CVA is undergoing some changes, and some of the site is in need of repair. That will done very soon.

Most of us around here are pretty friendly (except for most of the old farts), don't be afraid to ask questions.

Also, you may want to use a callsign (or your own name) when you post in the forum. At the very least, add your name to the bottom of all posts so we know who you are.

Welcome to CVA.

ahh - haven't touched the content of the academy site as of yet DS
my plan was to basically leave the initial exam and groundschool modules intact and just update the webpage when I have access, add the flight academy documents and the AOIs. Think the previous initial test was on an 'automatic' link but Craig will know more than I on that front.

There is a small problem with the exam module. If you take too long writing the test, the server will "time out" and your results are not saved.

To work around this, Grab a pen and paper. Start the exam, but don't fill in your answers on screen, put them on paper.

Once done, exit out of AutoVA, restart and log back into the exam. Fill in the onscreen test as quickly as you can and then press "submit".

You will see the results quite quickly after this. Craig is working on the problem (and a host of others) but this procedure will work for now.
