I was perusing the VATCAN web site and found this: The VATCAN Flight Academy became VATSIM's first Certified Pilot Training Facility on Aug 28/10, making it (for now) the ONLY official VATSIM Training Facility in the VATSIM world.http://www.vatcan.org/Has anyone tried this. Sounds interesting.

Definitely interesting (just going by your post). But I'd have to log some serious hours before I'd give any sort of test a try.

Looks Good, I wonder if it is similar to the training offered by the LA Artcc. http://pilotcerts.laartcc.org/page/Home.html I think I will give this a go. I wonder what happened to all the other ratings they had planned. Maybe it could be included as a recommended, but not mandatory course for all cva pilots and mentioned in the pilots handbook? How about an award in the award section of our profile for our efforts and a little signature badge as a "medal"

The silver wings where awarded after passing the 20 question on line exam and the gold wings was issued in rare and special occasions to members that have given extraordinary support and work at CVA.

I see Vatsim has launched a Training Academy. What's every ones thoughts? Only thing I do not like is you have to Join other VA in order to go to different levels of training. As Vatsim themselves does not offer anything other than Basic and Instructor.

Yes I did do it and got my P1 rating. It was actually quite basic and required a flight on-line.
