Howdy Gents,

For those who have been delving into the new FS2020 i hope everyone is enjoying it. I am sure everyone wants to get up and running online with VATSIM on it as well sooner than later. I have not had the chance to test it out just yet but have some preliminary info.

The first thing you will need is an updated version of FSUIPC (Version 7) which is currently in Beta. It is free to use at the moment until end of October and you cannot purchase a license but will be able to do so at a later date once they test further with FS2020. This version should also hopefully allow you to get your CVAcars connected and running with the sim. Here is a link to some information on the new beta version and download links as well:

Just a follow up to confirm I needed to install the Microsoft C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable package. Ifyou do not have this installed when you try to run FSUIPC7 you will get an error message something like:

"The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this"

Once you install the runtime it will install that missing DLL file and you will be able to run FSUIPC. Additionally, if you do have to install the Microsoft C++ package mentioned above you will need to reboot your computer so just a heads up.

Finally, FSUIPC7 has now changed to an executable version which simplifies things. You can simply download it, extract the contents to a folder on your hard drive and then run the executable accordingly. For reference, make sure to run it as an administrator to avoid any other error messages.
