Primarily designed as a medium sized military transport aircraft the Italian Alenia Aeronautica's C-27J has been beautifully modelled by IRIS, although a fairly older model(release date being sometime in 2008 or 2009 I believe) IRIS added all the bells and whistles from the 2008-2009 era. I stumbled on it about 48 hours ago while looking for information on the Antonov AN-32. Although the Wikipedia page for the Antonov doesn't list the C-27J, the C-27J page on Wikipedia lists the Antonov AN-32 as a "Aircraft of comparable role, configuration and era" so my curiosity was *peaked* and when I saw the fspilotshop email in my inbox stating 75% off on Iris products I naturally clicked it (not cheap, but maybe frugal, me) and I saw the C-27J! That was fate I forked out the 10 bucks and bought it on the spot! Beauty! Like I said I've had it about 48 hours now and I've discovered that although its not listed as a civilian operated airplane anywhere by Wikipedia Iris has included a way to hide all the military characteristics of the plane (refueling probe, advanced sensors etc) and their model can be used as a civilian "Cargo Hauler".
Included in the download installer is a folder containing HD textures for the plane, I haven't touched them yet, these pictures are of the C-27J in 1024x1024 resolution but if the HD textures allow I will repaint it in 2048x2048. In the meantime if anyone is interested, snap it up, at 10 bucks its a hellava deal!
I would be interested in hearing some opinions on which is the better model the payware Iris C-27J or the freeware "Piglet" AN-32"

Ok, this is the view from the pilot seat, showing 7 windows on the co-pilot side, if I could get 14 monitors I could have a hellova a display for the cockpit :)

It's the Aerosoft Twotter extended so shes technically a DeHavilland Canada, but shes decked out in a Viking house scheme ported over to CVA colours :) I just need a little time to get her on skis and wheels and I'll upload them. I'm almost done the 100 series in a traditional CVA scheme as well!

Seeing the CVA colors on the the C27J just made my day. RW wise my Det, here in San Antonio just received three former USAF C27J's on a permanent transfer no loan deal. The USCG gets all of the USAF's C27J's. Where also in talks with Viking for 20 twin otter 400's. Finally we can butter elected leaders and invited to the Defense Pork Trough lol. Excellent paint,

Sorry to re bring this topic. Gary Could you send me the paint for the Iris C27J please?? I was on the Iris QA with the C27J. I'd like to see if your paint works on the newer update and take a CVA Vat flight with it.

Hey Tim,
I tried the email address that I have in my contacts but the message bounced back to me, you'll have to let me know another address. If you are interested I have this paint for the C-27J, let me know if you want me to send it as well

Got her Gary. I am just now on Vatstim/CVA clients testing it out. Hope my backup computer holds lol. About 3 more months till all parts come in for my new main computer build.
For the C27J 440SQ http://www.rcaf-arc.forces.gc.ca/en/17- ... adron.page tail number would be 277806, usually with the Vampire's there is a red bat sitting on the tail.
