Pilot chosen to lead Snowbirds at Canada Day Airshow!

Dateline: Wednesday June 27, 2012

Ottawa today announced the successful candidate in the Canada wide search for the pilot to lead the nations air acrobatic's team "The Snowbirds" on its Canada Day Airshow over the capitol on July 1, 2012. Captain John "Ace" Macdonald successfully beat out a field of 10's of pilot from all over the country to win the coverted spot at the lead of the Snowbird formation. When asked how he felt Captain Macdonald said " "What can I say? They're even letting me fly my trusty old CVA showboat!"

The " trusty old CVA showboat" Captain Macdonald refers to is a stock "FSX Acceleration North American P-51 Mustang Racer". When interviewed, Canadian Virtual Airlines Chief executive officer, Mr. Darryl Brambilla (aka "Big Dog") chuckled and said "I remember when Ace asked for an acrobatics division, he wanted the "A2A Simulations Wings of Power II P-51 Mustang", I just laughed at him and that weekend drove down to Claresholm Alberta and picked this baby up for a steal." (See picture below)

"I was horrified" Captain Macdonald recalls. "I thought it was typical, just take a bottom line type approach to what could be a winning division for the company and turn it into a second rate outfit from the git-go." Ace was even more horrified when Big Dog turned him over to the office of Mr. Frank "Machine gun" Senecal (aka "the bean counter") who is the chief financial officer for CVA. " The accounting office under Machine gun Senecal was often referred to as the "Burmuda Triangle of CVA", many a pilot wandered innocently in there only to be never heard from again, they just disappeard off the scope..." Captain Macdonald's fears were alleviated though on his initial meeting with "Machine gun". "He turned out to be genuinely interested in taking the rusting hulk of the CVA P-51 and turning it into a world class competitor in the field of aviation acrobatics."

Over the next several days Captain Macdonald assembled a first rate team and set to work converting the CVA P-51 into what would become the most coveted plane in the fleet!.(See pictorial biography below)

Ace:I have to admit "Machine gun" really let the money flow on this, *chrome* props!

Ace: Off to the wild blue yonder!

Ace: But Machine gun, chromed canopy *and* chromed exhaust manifolds? Aren't you afraid Big Dog is going to plant you in a pair of cement overshoes?
Machine gun: Don't worry about me I can take care of myself!

"disappeared off the scope". The subsequent investigation has reached up to the highest levels of the CVA management team. With some members of the management team already pulling their avators from all sections of the CVA site. As of this time No one on the CVA management team has been reached for comment.

I stumbled on a neat little effect I was expecting with my repaint of the P-51. I went up for supper and left it on the tarmac and when I got back to her twilight was setting in on FSX and it's been happening every night ever since for about an hour and a half before the sun goes down. All the chrome I added to the plane turns the nicest gold colour and stays that way from whichever angle I view the plane from. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so...
