Shalom and greetings all my pals,
Here is nice typical trans-Alaskan cargo hauling flight from PAOT Ralph Wien Memorial Airport located one nautical mile south of the central business district of Kotzebue, a city on the Baldwin Peninsula in the Northwest Arctic Borough of Alaska to PANC Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport located 4 nautical miles southwest of downtown Anchorage
On early freezing -30 degree temperature weather finished loading up with post office mail and broken industrial machines needed to be sent to Anchorage for repairs
View of snowstorm hitting PAOT airport
Starting engines with background view of OTZ pond
Taxiing to short of runway 12
Entering into runway 12 for take off via OTZ departure
Airborne on climb to FL300 intercepting OTZ and turning left heading to GAL starting to enter through clouds
In middle of emerging from top of clouds still on climb to FL300
Still climbing to FL300 above stormy clouds
Look at clouds covering city of Kotzebue
Clouds are clearing out while passing snow covered Selawik National Wildlife Refuge with its frozen Selawik Lake which is third largest lake in Alaska and seventeenth largest lake in the United States of America
Still climbing!!!
Passing Yukon River
Cruising at FL300 intercepting GAL and heading to AKMAX
Approaching mountains of Alaska Range and approaching AKMAX signals time to descend from FL300 to 10,000 ft
Intercepting AKMAX to start executing TAGER 5 approach to PANC runway 07R with gorgeous background view of Alaska Range mountains and famed 20,320 feet high Mount McKinley which is the highest mountain peak in America and North America and is third highest in the world
Entering into thick of clouds to face powerful heavy snowstorm during TAGER 5 approach to PANC
Making final positioning to runway 07R
On final approach to runway 07R with view of Cook Inlet in back and Fire Island below
Snowstorm is getting heavier and thicker while seconds from touchdown with background view of Kincaid Park
TOUCHDOWN!!!
Braking down on extremely icy runway!!!
Whoa!! Snowstorm is getting super intense
Ahh snowstorm is now getting weaker
Crossing runway 07L on way to gate
Arrived at gate to unload cargo and waiting for crucial cargo to be loaded for return trip to PAOT
