I purchased all the BC Scenery from Orbx and I have been VERY impressed. Every little road, sometimes road side pull out are included, I was following the flights on "Google Earth" and this scenery is bang on. lots of little float bases and fishing lodges along the coast. It's VERY detailed but not too bad a hit on the frame rate, These pics were all taken running at max on all the sliders except the Boats, and I was still getting at the lowest 11 fps It was still flyable. I highly recommend it. Blue PNW, Blue Pacific Fjords, and Northern Rockies. and then Tongass Fjords. I also had to go and get the whole Australian package and the same thing, it is gorgeous If your into VFR flying and love flying up the valleys............. http://fullterrain.com/Doing some flying around a Glacier near Stewart BC Whoops kinda getting into the clouds Landed at Bob Quinn BC Near Smithers BC, Hudson Bay Glacier in view Williams Lake heading south. Landing Williams Lake 100 Mile House Some pics on my way to Castlegar from Kelowna Landing Castlegar BC Scenery Coverage Map

Drool...... Guys - at what altitude does the scenery revert back to fsx or utx or whatever? 10,000'? If I flew over it at FL350, would I see a difference?

Well I was at 12000 and you could tell is was still good quality, The mountains that were close still had the great texture, but the trees in the valleys kinda disappeared I don't think it does revert until your out of the physical area. It is so accurate that when I flew up my street in Winfield, I really thought I was going to see my house, I didn't but is is so real. when you can fly just by recognizing the surrounding area, it's good, and every little airport has something there. I think at FL350 you would still see a difference in the terrain rivers and roads unless you have visibility set in something like Active Sky Evolution. The small details would be too small to see anyway at that altitude. I'll fire up the old MD11 and try it with and with out the scenery enabled and get some pics.

Gotta fill up this 1TB hard drive somehow...although, without a wife to put a stop to it, this might get dangerous real quick. Just got my TrackIR in the mail today...holy jebus. It certainly takes some getting used to (and obviously, tweaking for a perfect set up), but it's a neat piece of kit. And turning it on and off is as simple as starting up, or shutting down the TrackIR software, which runs in the background as you're playing. No fiddling around with Flight Sim's settings. I'm going to have to take a few more hours tweaking it, but it's a lot nicer than messing around with my flight sticks HAT switches and viewpoint commands. I think you'll enjoy it.

Yup - the real reason men get married. Because they don't trust themselves to save money for their retirement. We'd all end up like lone wolves, shuffling around wondering why we don't have anything to eat and why no body hangs out with us anymore...

Okay, I've bought it. But it doesn't work. I seem to be missing some files from the zip download. When I tried to run the install, I got this error message.... I found that the Orbx folder was indeed missing a folder called BACKUP under the SCRIPTS folder. Can someone check to see if that is the case for them too?

Looks great Cal! Those scenery packs can be viral can't they? It started with the twin otter for me, I rationalized the need for better scenery to go along with the airplane and then it just snowballed from there. For about three weeks the big saying around my house was "Get my credit card! Get my credit card!" Barry, which Orbx program can you use to drive vehicles? I've only got PNW but there doesn't seem to be any way to "drive" in it. Again, the scenery looks great guys and I'm waiting to hear the stories you have to share Gary

I have it Rob "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\Scripts\Backup" may just have been a glitch in the install. Gary
