I tried out CVA-4450 last night aching to get away from this:

Quote:
do do do .....
looking out my back door... :(
CCR

Image

Even in the pre-dawn darkness the Caribbean looks more inviting!
Image

Just after pulling out of Port-Au-Prince's Toussaint Louverture Airport. (Yes, even a simulated sunrise has a warming effect....)
Image

A verrrrry verrrry strong effect....
Image

No no! It's not snow, its just a cloud!
Image

Passing over La Romana in the Dominican Republic about 1/3 of the way into the flight.
Image

This one is nearly identical to the previous picture but was taken about 1/4 of a second later the only difference being the absence of "Airport Names". I've set up an advanced macro on the 4 way switch on the throttle of my Saitek X52 that snaps a screenshot then toggles airport names and snaps a second screenshot before finally toggling airport names a final time. The end result is two nearly identical pictures but one that doesn't prove I'm cheating by having names toggled on :D
Image

Leaving Puerto Rico's coastline behind about 2/3's of the way.
Image

I'm not sure who did the repaint for the Posky 767 but they did a beautful job, didn't they?
Image

Almost there! the gps shows about 10 minutes to Princess Julianna Intl. but sadly the only 767 in CVA colors I have a available is the posky and it doesn't like my 64 bit system and just after this shot I got the dreaded "fatal error Flight simulator is restarting" message. Trust me, after staying up until well after 3 a.m. to finish this haul it's not the message you want to see :(
Image

Thanks for viewing!
Gary

Ha ha! Great story. But what was it about those few snow flakes in your back yard that you didn't like? covered up your hot tub, did they? :P

CCR? You're, like, OLD, man! I bet you're over 40! :P :P

Too bad about your POSky. It looks great. I thought it was the LDS at first (though I guess it's the same paint).

You can tell it isn't the the LDS because of the the Virtual Cockpit snapshot, (thats the one labelled "A verrrrry verrrry strong effect....")

Thanks for liking the story Rob!

Gary,

Great pics!!!!

You should save the flight every 10 minutes or so so that this way if your FSX or your PC crashes, you can resume the flight from saved flight and go on to land on TNCM:):)

Regards,

Aharon

:) I can tell by the *look* on my lovely wife's face that she's impressed with the fact that I've set "Bad Moon Arising" as the ringtone for her number on my cell :D

Thanks Aharon!
I never even thought of saving the flight! Odd because I'm usually a big *save/autosave* type person. I'll be doing it from here on in FSX as well now.
