Hey Thomas! First off Welcome to CVA! Im glad you had a good first flight, great pics! I remember my first flight wasn't too fun since I chose the wrong aircraft for the flight and flew for like 5hours which was supposed to be for a larger aircraft :D

I don't know if your into VATSIM but I reccomend you try that out, its a real awesome experience, and with VATSIM you can also gain access to our multi nights on wednesdays or saturdays!

If you need any help with anything to get started on VATSIM or anything else i'd be happy to help, along with a long list of other great CVA members!

Hope you enjoy CVA as much as I do!

-Matt

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the welcome,

Yes im used to Vatsim, id= 1096377

Its ok, But, ive been flying 3-4yrs on flight sim, (since i was about 11) and didnt usually fly online. Then, FSX Multiplayer, upgraded my computer, flew fsx multiplayer most of the time with PRO ATC Sessions.

Still, bit sketchy on some things, I think that you guys say some ATC things differently than the UK/European VA's ive been in previously.

Anyways,
Cya in the skies!

Thomas.

The only things i've noticed with European Air traffic Control is that the order is a bit mixed up. Some will give you clearance on taxi route, which I think is a bad idea since you'll be trying to taxi to the runway, watch out for other traffic AND readback a clearance. Other things are that you have to request pushback and startup clearance.

The only thing that gets me is when they use metres and not feet, :D

Anyways if you or anyones interested I currently ATC on multiplayer (FSX) since I can't ATC on Vatsim yet(getting close!) Its the FSX server, based in KMIA this week, it switches every week to a new airport, my Id is Goldencruise so if you ever play multipler drop on by!

-Matt
