Hi, I just transferred my system over to FSX and now after completing my flight I get an error message indicating
" No log file for that company/pilot".

Any suggestions as to what I am missing. Read the guide, copied over the config file etc. Not sure where to look next. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi John,

When you say you transferred over your system to FSX - do you mean you also still have FS9 installed?

Just trying to get a little more info here.

Cheers!

Hi John, did you import the flight data into FSAcars from the website by using the Flight from VA feature? My first guess would be that you may have typed something incorrectly in either the pilot number or callsign.

Go into you FSAcars folder and look for a file called CVA.dat. If it is there, I would like to see it to try and determine the root cause for you.

You can email it to hr@canadianva.com. It should find its way to my desk.

Hi gentlemen,

1.) No I don't have FS9 installed on the new machine. I reinstalled FSACARS and then copied over the files from my FS9 FSACARS folder.

2.) There is no CVA.dat file in my FSACARS folder.

Hope this helps.

John

Did you do that download CVA pilot file thingy?
(it's in the FSacars manual)

Best bet, remove FSacars and redownload and install it.

Go into your fsacars folder and delete both the CVA.ini and the fsacars.ini files. Next run fsacars without FS running to create a new ini file. Next, download your CVA.ini file from the site along with the CVAplanes textfile.

Go bid on a flight and use the Flight from VA button in FSAcars to load data into your FSAcars flightplan. The only thing you should change would be the aircraft type. You can enter data into fields that are not automatically filled but don't change any that are filled by the download.

Hopefully, you will have better results next time.

I've recently been changing the number of passengers. Will that cause a problem? I haven't noticed one.

Thanks Chuck
