You should be able to chat using FSInn. Just click the green Chat button in the FSInn screen within Flight Simulator. It will open up the chat window with 3 different tabs (UNICOM, COMM 1, and COMM 2).

Carlos; I can help you with FSInn. For now you need to double click on the 6 green diamonds on your lower taskbar and go through the various sections. The communications part is under Vatsim/key mappings where you set up your joystick buttons. I'll be on line at 0300Z(1900pst) and go through it then. I've done about twenty five of these set ups at vCAF.

vCAFer, are you Dale? Great. I was enrolled but couldn't find the time. Good organisation work by the young guys there. (And you?)

Carlos - when you say you want to "chat", do you mean chat with fellow pilots NOT with ATC? Or do you mean you want to chat with ATC?

I don't know what that means, Carlos. Are you trying to chat with someone or talk to atc? They're done differently. Which are you trying to do?

It sounds like you're missing something. For FSInn to work remember you need the FSUIPC module (you also need this for SB4 i believe). You also have to have the latest version of FSCopilot installed before installing FSInn.

Does Squawk Box work for you, Carlos? You're not stuck completely without being able to talk to ATC are you?

Did you install the correct version of FSCopilot and FSInn? The most stable version of FSInn for FSX (unless something has changed) is FSInn 1.3 which requires FSCopilot 1.7 Build 2.4.
Here's a link to the forum with the information: http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtop....2bd61d9

If you still can't get it to work properly I'd suggest requesting help in the FSInn help forum of VATSIM. Just make sure to read the Sticky "Please read before posting in this forum."

Normally I use FS9 for online flying. Just did a quick test with FSX and Squawkbox 4. I was able to connect easily enough. If all else fails, you could always give SB 4 a shot. I have found it to be a little more familar and easy to work with...just a personal observation... :)

Yes, make sure you read the sticky and try everything very carefully in the VATSIM forum, Carlos. Larry is quite willing to remind people about that. ???

Carlos I am sure your problem is that you need to run the program as an administrator. See this sticky from ther FSINN forums (pay attention to the instuctions in the quote) see this FSINN sticky

Try this from the FSINN forums, Pay attention to where it say close FS

http://www.mcdu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4248

Although I think we should start a new thread here because this is not a loging hours issue (FSACARS) but rather an FSINN issue with Vista.

Now you see why those MAC commercials look good ???
