Hey Jake!

Im not sure what the serverinfo button does on FSacars, but I do know that you don't have to worry about it to log your flights with us. All you need to do is bid on a flight through the CVA website(log in and in the pilots centre you have the option to view your flight bids or view flight schedules to bid on a flight of your choice, make sure the flight meets your level/aircraft level that your at)

Then once you load up your flight, set the parking break and minimize the screen(Alt+Tab) and start up FSacars, when it asks you in the begining if aircraft is at departure point, click yes, then click the FLIGHT FROM VA button, which fills in all the flights info including the route and stuff. Then you just fill in the altitude you plan to cruise at, and select if your using VATSIM or not, then press start log, minimze FSacars(it will go down into your menu where the time is on your start bar) then you can get started with your flight!

You probably already know all this but a review coulden't kill anyone

Oh Ic, are you sure you are placing bids on flights u'd like to fly? If theres no flights that you bid on the "Flight From VA" button has no information to put into FSAcars, thus getting the error, thats the only thing I can think of, keep us posted

I think Matt is right - you have to log in as a pilot, go the the flight schedule, and place a flight (or two) into the pilot list. then when you start FSAcars, and hit "Flight from VA", FSAcars will take the first flight you added to your list and fill in all the required fields. You may need to adjust your a/c type. When you're done flying, and have submitted your FSAcars report, you can then pick the next one from your list, and so on until there are none left. Then go and add some more. Most of us do it one flight at a time since you can't really control with flight gets picked by FSAcars from you list except in the order you placed them there.

cheers

You can send the manual PIREP report right from the website but Im pretty sure management strongly encourages the use of FSacars, its a better system, and also reduces the amount of work load for them. And plus its way easier for you, the pilot all you do is click Send and it sends the whole thing to management, they approve it, and boom you have your hours and pay :D

As long as you follow these steps you will never have a problem with FSacars(Im assuming you have everything installed correctly)

1. Log into our website
2. Click on flight schedules
3. Search for a flight you would like to fly(by class/arrival or departing airport/ by distance etc.)
4. Place your bid on that flight you want to fly("Add to Bid" button on right hand side)
5. Set up FSX or whatever version of flight simulator you have and get into the cockpit(set appropriate time/flight plan/ ect. I don't think you have to follow the scheduled flight time but I do anyways)
6. Set parking brake(I made this a separate point because even I sometimes forget to set the parking break)
7. Minimize Flight Simulator, and open up FSacars
8. Click yes to"Plane at departure point?"
9. Click "Flight from VA" Button and your bidded flight info will be shown
10. Set cruise altitude and the plane your flying with
11. Click "Start Log"
12. Minimize FSacars, go back into Flight Simulator and start flying!
13. Once your done, set parking brake and minimize FSX and accept the flight(if you crashed or something, decline the flight as it won't be accepted by management)
14. Then you must go to the Flight Log tab in FSacars and click SEND LOG, then press send again and wait untill a box pops up saying "Log sent"

I know all this seems like a lot to remember, but once you do it a couple of times, it comes naturally and you won't even have to think about it!

-Matt

You will not have the FLIGHT FROM VA button until you place the CVA.ini file that you downloaded from your Pilot Center into your FSAcars folder.

Once you have FSacars running properly, enterred the required fields and started the log (turned off parking brake), then you should be on the live map. If not, post back here. :)
