I just flew Halifax - Montreal and the date is correct. There seems to be some weird data bugs sometimes, I'm starting to keep a copy of all my logs from now on.
EDIT: Ah, just noticed you said "his date", maybe his PC is not on the right date?

My last flight is logged as March 30th, today being April 3rd, and I was chatting with fellow CVA'er CVA582 Gary Anderson today as we both flew into CYYZ and noticed his flight was logged as the 28th of April. What's up with that? Where does FSACARS get it's date information? My system date is April 3rd. ???
I believe FSAcars gets it's date / time information from FS itself. So...if you set your date / time different then your flight will record with that information.
Chuck or Frank I think have played with this a bit and can likely chime in here. Cal jordan as well probably has further info.
Gents?

have noticed my dates are usually correct but the times are several hours off (the enroute times are ok - just the blockoff/on times)
i usually time sych my FSCopilot to correct local/zulu time just prior to engaging FSACARS so seems to be a bit strange -- no biggie

I'm almost positive there is an option in FSAcars for choosing to use Local time..a setting somewhere...will need to dig a little further into it and get back to folks. On the road at the moment...
Cheers!

Another member brought up this suggestion a while back and I heeded the advise.
I now use FS Real Time on all my flights. The software is free to start and by donation to have registered.

My FS-X time got sent back to 4pm tonight for some reason?
I've moved it back up, Use System Time was toggled, so not sure what's going on.

It just did it again, I set it in the options to local time (it was off a bit) and took off from Ottawa. Within a fwe minutes in the air I noticed that it was already 1.5 hours off.
At least FSacars continues to report proper time in my case.

I've noticed that at this time of year, FSX time is off an hour in many places because it still thinks Daylight Savings Time starts in April. When you set your time in FSX I always make sure to set the GMT time and not local time.

I had initially set my date/time to local time when I first installed, haven't done anything except double-check when I saw this thread.
And then I got contaminated because my post was in proximity to Paul's.
