I was just looking at some flight logs when i saw this. The fuel use is throught the roof because the initial fuel was way wrong. It says 105,114 lbs when it was actually about 25,000 lbs. it is correct at ToC where it says 22,266 lbs.

So what gives. That is a new flight that Robert put in for us recently. I'll try it again sometime to see if it happens again.

Chuck, feel free to remove this from my log - it is probably not helping the company books. I don't care about a few flight hours.

All I can imagine is that you started FSacars with that initial fuel load (that gives you the initial entry), then changed the fuel in the 8 minutes until you removed the parking brakes, and then your fuel was reasonable by TOC.

LDS-767, changed that plane load config panel in the add-on menu maybe?

That a/c wouldn't be parked near the pumps I think. I bet Robert's idea is the right one. I do have troublel with the LDS and fuel. Half the time I get the opening LDS fuel menu popup when I start my flight, but the other half the time it doesn't come up and I have to remember to manually change the fuel load. (This is not as strange as you think - I get lots of little quirks happening all the time - I'm betting it's Windows 7.)

cheers

Yup, that fuel pop-up would do this. I always get it within a few seconds of loading a LDS-767 flight (cold start at CYUL, then I change airport).

Always? Why does mine show up only half the time. I run the Configuration Mgr using admin privileges and it still doesn't always work. but I'm getting used to lots of little things always going wrong and not working since I migrated to W7 and FSX.

Yup, always.

I've been using FS-X with the LDS-767 FMS in parallel with FS Commander to verify the new routes out of Toronto and that pop-up always comes up within a second.

This is my regular routine:

- start at CYUL with Beechcraft.
- load LDS-767 flight with shutdown cockpit at CYUL.
- LDS config manager pop-up comes up when flight loaded, I usually click option 1.
- ADD-ONS / B767 SPECIFIC / IMPORT PANEL DATA FROM A FLIGHT and then I import the panel data that I saved when I made the shutdown cockpit.
- turn key, release handbrake, put in drive and floor gas.

Did you ever start the configuration manager from outside FS-X yet? I went in there and selected some random fuel, passenger and cargo load for now and clicked SAVE.

I have LONG HAUL, 125000 lbs fuel, 17/65/58/64 PAX, then all cargo are under 2/3 full. This is one of those features that I was going to look deeper into once I get back to flying; how to config the plane properly.

You should be always running the config mgr before you start FSX. It should set the fuel for you if you select the first option of the popup that always shows up for you 9and only sometimes for me). You should not have to set the fuel yourself because the system matches the fuel to the %MAC and etc needed for the FMC. Otherwise it doesn't know what V1 etc to use.

I always set my fuel, weather etc. before starting fsacars.
Not aware of any problems so far.

Nope, I just start-up FS-X and do what I said above, I never start LDS Config Manager separately.
