My last two flights didn't get logged. CYOW to KDCA and CYYZ to CYOW both yesterday Sunday Feb 18. Funny thing is they also didn't get listed on VatAware

Also, my last FSACARS entry has the date screwed up. It shows 2009/08/09 but VatAware has the same flight on the correct date (2009/01/09).

Any ideas? I'll take another flight and see what happens. It's worked fine since September.

Edit - don't worry about this yet. There's a l ot of differences between Vataware and FSacars. I've got to figure this out. I know I took the occasional flight offline from VATSIM, but that doesn't seem to account for all the differences....

Hehe...sounds like the powers that be don't want you to get a promotion :D

The only thing I can think of with the date problem is maybe you had your computer clock set to that day for some reason (I'm not sure where FSACARS gets the time from).

I wouldn't worry too much about a flight showing up on Vataware. The VATSIM servers have been having some glitches these last few weeks with all the data that they are transferring and i believe Vataware gets its data from those servers.

I am not sure what you mean by this Rob I saw you on FSACARS with your flight to Ottawa. Now your flight report did not get posted yet. If you tried to send it it may have failled.
Check your system date and time this maybe the problem looking at the flight you posted with the strange date.

Right! I saw myself on FSacars on all these flights. But as you say, the sent log doesn't end up in my records. And it does say "Log sent".

Keeping an eye on my computer date and time but haven't seen anything amiss....

Hey Rob,

Not sure what is happening...weird!

I'll check the server to make sure everything looks in order. Far as I can tell everything else appears to be.

Try a couple of short flights (circuits or something) and try to send the logs as you normally do. Lets see if the problem repeats itself still...

Cheers!

Just finished a flight, to Halifax, a few minutes ago. Everything worked fine for me. Can't imagine what Rob's problem could be? Hope you get it fixed up Rob.

Cheers Bill

Well...the first thing I noticed when I checked his logs is that he apparently filed a flight on Aug 7, 2009.

Hmmm....I wonder if that might have something to do with it???

Rob - I've manually changed the date in the report to Jan 20th so give it another try later tonight and see if that works for you. Try a short flight (a few circuits) and record the log.

Cheers!

I noticed that mine won't get the current date, I have to check the date each time. It seem to be all over the place one flight it had the date at nov 3rd 2008 then it will be different each time. the date is correct in FS9 and computer but FSACARS will change it in FS9 immediately when it starts to log. I just have to check and make sure FSACARS is correct when I start. WHy doesn't it get the time from the computer?

Okay just found a entry in the file "CVA.ini'' in the fsacars directory
uselocal=0 I changed it to uselocal=1 and the time is the same as FS9 time.

Hey Cal,

Did you perform the install of FSAcars from the CVA website or did you install it on your own from the downloads elsewhere? The CVA ini file should have been configured for this by default, but if not, we'll review and fix it.

Cheers!
