I have composed a short text list of steps needed to appear online. If you appear to be having issues, please check this out to ensure it is not just a missed step. These may seem like a lot to remember, but once you have done it a couple of times, you should take less than 30 seconds to fill out the minimums.
1. Fire up flight sim and park your aircraft at your departure with parking brake on.
2. Start FSAcars
3. Acknowledge that you are at your departure airport.
4. Enter in your departure and arrival ICAO codes.
5. Enter cruise altitude in actual feet. ie FL330 entered as 33000.
6. Use the drilldown to select your aircraft.
7. Enter in the Flight Number you are flying in the IATA field, if a flight number is not specified, type "OTHER".
8. Type some text in the Route section even if it is just the word direct.
9. Click the button on the right that says "Start LOG"
10. Minimize the application and go fly.
11. When landed and parking brake set, pull application back up from system tray.
12. Click "Stop LOG"
13. Click "Accept Flight" when prompted.
14. Click on the Flight Log tab at the top.
15. Click on the "Send LOG" button on right.
16. Click "OK" at all the default pop ups that come up till you see log sent.
If you are using automated start/stop and when flying, the start log button is NOT grayed out, you will not appear on the map. If this is the case, I suggest clicking on the options menu and disabling the automated start/stop and use manual start/stop as shown above.
