Everything was going along fine until March 7 which was the last time I was able to record an acars flight. Since then, I have been unable to do so. I have read the forums of similar problems and have reinstalled acars, the aircraft and the ini files as required. Still no good. I have received messages that the file cannot be sent and twice the pirep WAS sent, but CVA never got it. So unless someone can tell me what is wrong, I suppose I'm grounded.

I think you have a corrupt ini file. Go to your FSACARS folder and delete CVA.ini and FSACARS.ini. Start FSACARS without your new CVA.ini installed form the CVA web site. FSACARS will rebuild a new FSACARS.ini. Then close FSACARS and install the new CVA.ini that you downloaded from the CVA web site. Run up a flight and test this out.

This maybe so! :p Your last flight recorded you somehow managed to pack 869 passengers in a Beech 1900.

No problem I fixed your entry. But fix the corruption of your ini files and let me know how this works.

Deleted fsacars.ini and cva.ini. Started acars as instructed, made the changes and saved as instructed. Loaded flight CVA 2060 from NPS to PHHI in Hawaii and flew it. Filed the pirep and acars told me the log was sent. Hopefully CAV will get it.

Well I do not see it. I think we will need Chuck to give his input here because if your ACARS said log sent and I do not see it there is still a problem to resolve.

What changes he asks himself?

The new FSAcars system is plug and play. Just dump the CVA.ini in the folder and go fly.

Double check the Quick Start Guide at the top of this sub-forum.

OK the changes made to acars were to check auto start and auto stop. Changes made to the cva.ini were to change the pilot number to 0030. Tried again today and am back to the "error reporting message" when trying to send log. ???

My understanding of FSACARs is that you should not touch anything on it except for Cruise altitude, Online(vatsim) option, and which aircraft you are flying. Touch anything else and you havea recipe for trouble! :D

OK, my bad. It seems acars doesn't hate me after all. Sometime in the past couple of weeks, someone must have changed the acars setup, because I finally installed the "NEW" quick start guide and cofigured acars as directed and what do you know....it works. Like I said, my bad. Thanks to all. :)
