Just a heads up to anyone who is going to get the new version of FSUIPC, I now can't get CVAcars to connect with FSX. I never had this problem before.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Ryan

I managed to fix the problem. I found the installer for the previous version of FSUIPC on my computer and installed that after removing v4.85. CVAcars now connects to FSX again :D

I now have v4.82 installed. As Cal said, download it from the official website.

Peter's website (http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html) lists 4.84 as the most current version. Where did you find 4.85?!

And while all of you are trying to find mysterious 4.85 version, where can I find 4.82 version that is not even on the list from official download???

The pdf manual that was in the FSUIPC zip file said v4.85, although this may have been a mistake when they wrote the document, as the latest version on the official website is v4.84.

I can't find v4.82 on the website either. They all used to be there. Unfortunately I can't email it as it is too big (7mb)

I don't have any other ideas, sorry Aharon.

Try this link: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2301889/FSUIPC4.zip
I will keep it there for a couple of days - grab it while you can...

Thanks Tomas

Ryan,

I think I know why you have problem. You were supposed to run as administrator's right WHEN INSTALLING that software.

Now that I have a version that works, I don't want to play around with it unnecessarily.

Hello,

A newbie from Finland calling...

After a few hours of scratching my head yesterday evening I managed to get the CVAcars working. It needed the 4.82 version of FSUIPC (Thank You Tomas) and also the manual change of administration rights to the CVAcars file. This was the first time ever I had to change the administration rights to any program manually, so it took me by surprise and a while to figure out.

But now it is working and I am looking forward to the first flight with CVA.

Jaakko,

Welcome to CVA and enjoy exploring beautiful Canada using CVA routes!!!! Maybe you can fly across North Pole from Helsinki to Toronto instead of crossing Atlantic Ocean!!!

And do not forget to participate in CVA events every Saturday and Wednesday night. Although you live in different time zone that would represent disadvantage to you, it is okay to participate in CVA events using 8 pm in your own time zone. It is participation and thought that count!!

Aharon
