Hey guys, I came across this PANEL/GAUGE last night and I'm just wandering if any of you guys are using it.
It's called FDSFX and basically adds cabin and crew voice announcements and ambient environment effects.
It's an old PANEL (2005 I think) but still adds a nice dimension to the sim.
Basically when you reach a certain stage in the flight, you activate/push the appropriate button to get the cabin, crew voice announcements or the ambient environment effects.
The PANEL looks like this.

Hi Pat,

I have downloaded it free from "Flyaware" but I have FSX and it does not work. It seems that it works only for FS2004.
I have modified panel.cfg but it is not on the list when I click on panel views. I read that this product could work at 80%
with FSX !!!!!!!

Do you know if it exists a similar product for FSX even payware?

Thanks

JC

Hi Jean-Claude, I'm also running FSX and it is working for me.
The only thing that wasn't working was the last button "gate arrival" I had to insert a line in the panel config if I remember correctly.

I can't remember where I got it to be honest. Let me have a look and I'll come back to you.

Pat

OK Jean-Claude, here are the links for the panel.
The first one is the original program and the second one is different plates/color to match whatever plane you are flying.

After looking at my panel.cfg, I realize why the last button wasn't working, user mistake lol. I didn't copy the last line in the read me.
Do not forget to place a copy of the file named FDSFX.bmp into your Panel folder.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi Pat,

Thank you for your help. In fact there are 2 panel files and I had modified the wrong one, not .cfg.
So, all is OK now.
Some announcements are clearer than others but this product is quite good as it gives
some ambience in the cockpit during the flight.

No problem Jean-Claude, glad I could help.
You're right about the ambience in the cockpit, I like it.

Pat
