I have been trying for a week now the FSX "DX10 Scenery Fixer" So far I'm very impressed.
The clouds seem to be fixed and I'm not seeing clouds that appear to be behind others in front of the closest clouds
The taxiway progressive lines are now working again in DX10 Preview.
Aircraft shadows are showing the correct shadows for all aircraft including AI ( I use Traffic X )
Frame rates seem a bit smoother using DX10 and I don't get the dreaded OOMs that I have been getting at DreamTeams Vancouver.
You can read about it here

You can buy it here

If you don't use DX10 preview in FSX you don't need it. but it fixes a lot of issues if you do.

Last night I flew from Vancouver to Cancun, Hurricane Karen was on the route and the rain and lightening looked great.
Here is a few pictures of the flight. You can notice the lightening in front of me didn`t flash on the side of the aircraft,
but it did if it was to the left or right of me.

Over the Mississippi delta heading into Hurricane Karen.

You can see the lightening in behind clouds

I've been running DX 10 with the fixer about a week now. I haven't tweaked it yet. I got crashes with the Sweet FSX bloom shaders so had to remove that, and then it worked fine (so far anyway). I think I'm going to stay with it. Scenery and weather is stunning in this mode, especially at night. With the fixer you can always switch back to DX9 with just a few changes to Nvidia Inspector for AA.

Agree with what Cal says and I recommend the fixer program for anyone who wants to try this mode.
