Post subject:  What are you running

Okay so right now I am trying to run the most I can Out of my system. Its pretty decent if you have read some of my other post. So basically this is what I am running. GEX, UTX FS GLOBAL,REX ORBX- CYBD, CZST, KJAC, KSFF, KWYS, BLUE PNW, BLUE PFJ AND BLUE NRM. Okay so this seems to be alot works good as long a gex is not running I throw gex in there and seems to slow down a bit then I throw my 737 ngx on and still pretty smooth but take a fps hit that brings me to 15 or so which not bad but then when I add my second monitor with VC thats about all she wrote. So is there a better alternative to REX cause I really like the scenery and weather it provides. And really do not want to change my fsx settings got them right where I want them for the most part.

So do you do this because active sky takes less of a hit on system or because it just looks better.

And how do you put the textures from rex into active sky

I just installed REX then in REX installed the textures and that was it, fire up AS3012 and it uses what ever textures that are installed.

I dont install AS2012 graphics at all, I start FSX then I start AS2012, I think its your choice though, I dont think that it matters

I can not even imagine how many hours you have put in this. Just to see how many hours you have recorded. Cause I have like 50 or something and I have been flying non stop the last two weeks more practicing than anything so I have not been recording pireps but I have been putting in so many hours setting this up tweeking this. Reinstalling that. And still trying to live at the same time  All I can say is I really enjoy it.

That is pretty much FSX in a nutshell! Glad to hear you are enjoying and having fun here at CVA.
