Shalom and greetings all my pals,
Here is world's most exclusive testing of freeware BUT payware quality Boeing 717-200 that the well known payware company JetCity is offering for free at amazing payware quality!!!!
JetCity 717-200 passed my rigorous testing with flying colors. Handling was superb. Fuel consumption was realistic. Landing was smooth. Turns were realistic without being jerky that you would find in common freeware planes. Jetcity offers freeware 717-200 along with about 50 free airline textures. There was a paint kit for this model available in avsim but due to tragic hacking episode, the free paint kit for the plane was lost forever. However, many clever painters managed to paint more liveries on JetCity 717-200 without using paint kit.
Here is exclusive flight from CYQM Greater Moncton International Airport located in the city of Dieppe 5 miles east northeast of downtown Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada to KDCA Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport located 3 statute miles south of downtown Washington, D.C., in Arlington County, Virginia with refueling stopover at CYYZ Toronto Pearson International Airport located 14 miles northwest of Downtown Toronto
Airborne on climb to FL300 climbing through clouds

Leaving entire city of Montcon and its airport of departure where you can see two Jazz planes getting ready for their departure to CYYZ.

Look at beautiful exterior work of JetCity 717-200 especially wingtip beacons that look realistic

You can see many passengers' faces on passenger windows!!

Passing Big Spencer Mountain located in Piscataquis County, Maine

Passing Canada's FIFTH busiest airport: CYHU Montréal/Saint-Hubert Airport located in the Saint-Hubert borough of Longueuil, Quebec10 miles east of downtown Montreal. It is in operation since 1928 and was Montreal's first and only airport until the construction of CYUL Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.

Passing city of Montreal and St Lawrence river

Passing CYUL Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport formerly known as Montréal-Dorval International Airport located on the Island of Montreal 12 miles from Montreal's downtown core

Passing Canada's main cargo airport: CYMX Montréal-Mirabel International Airport located in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada 24 miles northwest of Montreal

Passing Ottawa river which indicates border of Quebec and Ontario provinces

Moments from touchdown on CYYZ runway (I forgot which one) which was not so bad for first time flying of this particular 717-200 plane

TOUCHDOWN

Braking down on slippery icy runway

Exiting from runway to gate for dropping off and picking up passengers while getting refueled

Airborne on climb to FL300 after take off from CYYZ now crossing Lake Ontario

You can see passengers on passenger windows

On final approach to KDCA runway above Potomac river passing Woodrow Wilson Memorial bridge which is part of Capital Beltway route number 495

Passing Anacostia Freeway route number 295 above Oxon Creek

Seconds before touchdown. The handling was better for second landing!!!

TOUCHDOWN

Exiting from runway to gate

Hey you can see famous Washington Monument

Thank you for viewing this flight!!! I would recommend to all of you this JetCity 717-200 for one or 2 hour flying pleasure between cities or Caribbean islands!!!! If you are talented painter, you can paint your favorite airline for this plane!!!
Stay tuned for next exciting flight!!!
Regards,
Aharon

Nice report. Which panels does it use? Standard MS 737, I assume.

Rob Vanderkam wrote: Nice report. Which panels does it use? Standard MS 737, I assume. Shalom Rob, Freeware comes without panel. You choose any panel as you see. I chose FSX default 738 panel. Payware version comes with 717 panel. However, there are plenty of freeware 717 panels on Internet. The freeware 717 from JetCity comes with everything including luggage loaders. The only thing that is not on the freeware package is panel. Jeremy and Gary, Thanks for kind words!!! Regards, Aahron
