Shift +1, Shift+2
Then fit them together. You can use Shift +8 I think and get the MCP as well as Shift+6 for the CDU.

Yeah once you get the panel up, grab the corner and size it.

Yeah, I do that all the time; move them about and resize, just look at any of my multi pics. But SHIFT-1 and SHIFT-2 are for pilot overhead and main panels, SHIFT-3 and SHIFT-4 are for co-pilot overhead and main panels.

I want to have both main panels; SHIFT-2 and SHIFT-4 on at the same time and they toggle each other off automatically. There's workarounds on the Level-D forums but you sacrifice the stand-by instruments to do it (I don't use them now, but I will in the future). It would be so much nicer to just disable that auto-close toggle instead, much cleaner.

For those that are looking for a bit more action out of the LDS767, check the Non-Normal Checklist. It's quite extensive and should keep your hands full if you enable random failures.

Just remember that ATC on VATSIM do not have to oblige your emergencies. They will do what they can if traffic is light, but you can't assume they will go along with your emergency even if "you" think they have time.

I'm doing some reading on the Pilots Helping Pilots - Flying the 767 forum and there's really interesting tidbits over there.

Engine fire after VR

... Anything below 800 feet should be flying the airplane, silencing the warning, and confirming the emergency. Nothing else, and that's why its plastered in big bold letters across the top of said QRC.

The rule that I like is as follows. Autopilot on (min. alt. for this airline is 800 AFE) then run the QRC together with mutual agreements on engines.

Below 800 feet its very easy to "rush" and pick the incorrect engine as evidenced by a test that NASA (I think) did a few years ago. In a sim they failed one engine and set fire to another. Many crews chose to shut down the engine on fire (727 test so 3-2=1 engine). The crews who kept the engine running that was on fire where the crews with good CRM who didn't rush picking an engine. There were airlines all over that sent crews and even though it was more of a CRM test, it still shows what can happen when you rush picking an engine without mutual agreement.

I don't know if this is a real crew or not but you can see how there was no real discussion or agreement on the engine (it looks like they were below 800 AFE to boot).
