I've been toying with the idea of getting TrackIR but never felt it would be justified:

I never flew using virtual cockpit before, always swapped 2D panels, but I'm reconsidering TrackIR now. I'm not sure if it's fully supported by FS-X though, is anyone else using it and what do you think of it?

With 3 monitors, do you really need the ability to see better? Do you still need to use your hat to see things to the sides?

(No, I don't use trackIR)

Got one...it has alot of dust on it at present. This is partly to do with too much sun getting into my computer room and affecting the IR sensor. As well, it take some getting used to controlling your head movements. I found it quite difficult trying to flip a switch or adjust the MCP since any slight movement of your head would move your viewpoint and hence where your mouse was pointing.

I believe it is possible to adjust the deadbands to take some of the twitchiness out of it, but as of yet, I haven't gotten around to it.
