Yes - but I thought you didn't have it. So it seems you have done the 170 too. Great. I'll just have to figure out how to alias it to FSX - or maybe Barry knows how. Thanks!

In case it's useful to someone, here is a fT guy's summary (unofficial) of the difference between the vol 1 and vol 2 e-jets, with some edits by me: from http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=51133&p=373892======================================================================= E-jet v.2 (v = volume) by feelThere isn't an update. v.2 is the simulation of the 175 and 195 aircraft.. the v.2 package includes - * model the 175 and 195 aircraft (vs 170, 190 and Lineage aircraft) * 'pop-up' glareshield guidance panel * updated flight dynamics * new manual - 129 pages (vs 35 pages) * FSX liveries use 'bumpmaps' * feelThere's CALL! for the Ejets ( http://feelthere.com/2005/embcall.html, locked to the v.2 aircraft) * feelThere's MAP! ( http://feelthere.com/2005/map.html, locked to the v.2 aircraft) * ejet specific HUD ======================================================================= He (David Scobie) also lists some of the changes from version 1 to version 2 of the ERJ package: ======================================================================= *the ERJv2 had a complete rework of the external models ... and includes both the 135 and 145xr (XRJ). *the ERJv2 interior VC and cabin is 100% reworked (just look at the graphics and it is clear v2 is not 're-using' the v1's model). *the ERJv2 is both FS9 and FSX native ... not a port to FSX as done with the ERJv1. *is the panel function between v1 and v2 similar ... yes as BOTH are ERJs and for this reason still act like ERJs. the ERJv2 includes updates in panel and FMC logic. one much YELLED FOR example is the addition of DME-hold to v2's panels. =======================================================================

What all this says is the the 170/190 vol 1 ERJ is: - a port to FSX rather than native - last patched in Nov 2008 - may actually be a Wilco product (though I'm still confused on support for it ( http://forum.iemit.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&m=29151#29151) which means what - FS8? I am not saying I don't like it - so far its been fun hand flying it - but if anyone is looking to buy, beware. I came across this aircraft newly listed on the feelThere.com website, but NOT clearly stated to be anything other than a true FSX product. The info/sales page is almost identical in content to that for the volume 2 ERJ 175/195 product. http://www.feelthere.com/2010/40_e-jets-series-embraer-170-and-190.html?product_id=40http://www.feelthere.com/2010/22_embraer-e-jets-v-2-embraer-175-and-195.html?product_id=22I boggles my mind that they can take a 5(?) year old product, repackage it, advertise it the same as the brand new product, and sell it for the same price as if the only difference was the aircraft model. Now even if I love this a/c, I'm going to be wondering what I'm missing!!!! (and still feeling misled at least)

I have had the E Jets 170/190 since they first came out. No problems with them. Like all Wilco products, the instruction manual is not very well done and lacks info. I also have both Airbus Series and the 737 PIC from Wilco. I have no problems with any of them either. The fact that you can download both the fs9 and fsx versions without forking over more money is a bonus. When I downloaded the pic 737 it had been out for years. Still the best decision I could have made. Its one of the best aircraft on the market. I have never had a problem with any Wilco products. I find that www.Wilcopub.com is a better website than the Feelthere site. cheers Bill PS. If you have difficulty setting the ADF freq, like I did, just post. I'd tell you how to do it now, but I forgot again! lol

Thanks guys. No, I wasn't confused (anymore). I just wasn't sure about the nicknames. And E-Jets vol 1 came out for FS9 (maybe even FS8), then ported over to FSX more recently, so that was more than a few years ago. It was the new vol 2 that came out last year. BTW, do you think the vol 2 is all that much better/different? I think you said you had that package too... I am just too cheap! But I don't think the fun factor would be higher if I had a hanger full. Bill, I'm keeping that Wilco link you provided. It's good to hear your estimation of the products. The PIC 737 is still full price - $50 - does that mean it's still great in FSX (you make it sound reeeeeally old )?

Thanks Chief! Nice ot be able to control the compression. But it does have some wierd idiosyncrasies I need to get used to.

Gary It is the ERJ-145, but for FS9. It's the earlier V1.2 aircraft, NOT the V2.0. I don't believe these textures will work on the new V2.0 plane. You can have a look though. It's on Avsim.

Too plain, and the logo's are too small. Think I better tweek it a bit... And I'm not surprised DX10 doesn't work on it... I painted it for FS9
