It has really been bothering me how FS Commander wouldn't put any of the scenery that I had purchased into its database. so I went back and forth with the programmer of it and basically he says it cant be done. So I started playing with the database maker for FS Commander and found out it will read the BGL files if they are placed in the "FSX/Addon Scenery/Scenery" folder. so I started copying just the BGL files from just the scenery folders of my purchased scenery and pasting them into the folder in "FSX/Addon Scenery/Scenery" folder. Ran the data base program for FS Commander and all worked great. then I deleted all the BGL files that were in the scenery folder (3400 of them) and started FS Commander and all was updated. there was a few that didn't work the way I thought, but I deleted them from the "FSX/Addon Scenery/Scenery" folder and ran the database program again. I made a separate folder that has all the BGL files in it and if I add new scenery to FSX I'll just copy the BGL files to this folder and then copy it all to the "FSX/Addon Scenery/Scenery" folder and then run the database maker for FS Commander again. Does that also include Orbx add on scenery or does FS Commander handle that ok? |

It seems to handle Orbx okay. |
